That they won the last two titles might be mentioned……..

Not questioning the team’s accomplishments, just today, for one day, somebody wanted it more, and they got it. Great win for a struggling team, hope they can build on the win, that’s all. Oh, and BTW, just as an aside, I think we beat them once each of the last two years when they won the Championship. Just sayin’ nice to see David’s slaying Goliaths in this crazy CCB environment.
Look, no one is crying for a team that’s won the last two national championships. And they’ll win more along the way. A great program has their locked-in, lifer coach. They’re going to be just fine overall.
But this is an absolutely brutal loss for them. I mean they are no lock to make the NCAAs, and this could drop them two seed lines. Woof…

They end a massive losing streak by beating UConn (it really could have been any opponent) and you’re basically telling everyone to go easy with the excitement? Really?
This is the exact reason why it is so tough to evaluate this team. From the time this message was posted with about 5 minutes to go in regulation, there were at least 4 or 5 others on the team who were eventually just as complicit ...yet they somehow found a way to win. Each player does about 10 things bad each game & 5 things good. On the rare occasion when the good outweighs the bad, irrational thoughts start to creep in that maybe we're really not this bad. The realist in me says we are.
