SHU picked up intensity at about 10 minutes in. Offensively kicked it up a notch, but the Defense let off. Giving up 40 points in a half is not what you want. Giving out too many fouls and letting them poor into the paint.
A few things at half (40-36):
IW poor shooting again. 20% from 2, 20% from 3 and has put up the most shots (15). 2:3 on assist:turnovers.
This is where IW needs to lean off shooting at the beginning. Desi is red hot shooting so far. Run plays for him to get the ball in good position. Carrington not having the best game but not terrible. Still see a lot of running into traffic. Have to get some clearance inside and score a little more.
Have to shut down Myles Davis or at the very least hassle him.
My sense is we are either going to snap in and do something different to aggravate them in the first 5 minutes, or we are going to completely fold up and let them go on some shitty 7 point run to open it up. Let's see who's coach can make the right changes.
X's best player didn't pay well in the first half either and they're still up. Oh wait, he missed what 15 minutes with 2 fouls or they could be up by 10 or more. SH is lucky to still be in it the way they've played so far. Thank goodness for Desi.
I disagree on Singh. He bumped into a guy, did have another foul and missed a quality look. You put

You get him in at the right moment with the best players on the team. Anthony got exploited for 6 easy easy points??

We needed to come out and turn the table right away. Were playing pretty much the same as first half including IW. We can't win like that on the road
Desi, IMO, is our best player. Can score, rebound, big, athletic. He is a nightmare for almost every team we've played. Says a lot about him
IW is very frustrating. He basically cannot shoot. Yet loves to chuck it up there. then next play hits a shot like that (borderline NBA shot). I dont get it
I think part of the problem is we dont make these guys work on defense. Make Farr guard someone. Might slow down his offense
Dumb fouls. Let's just push people and get frustrated. Why for the love of god can we not do more than just pass it around the top. Run. A. Play.
Still hanging in there. Foul call on Angel was too bad. That was a clear charge and might have been the best D Angel played all game. Too many lapses on D with our bigs.
We just play ugly. No congratulations on "effort" here. We look undisciplined and without a game plan.
30 seconds later we are down 10 64-54. They score out of every timeout by running a play
to get the ball inside the paint. We don't have defensive answers against this quality of player
