A little scary that there is this much of a shift away from listening to your physician. I’m all for being an informed consumer, but if you don’t have positions that you can trust to discuss?

“Meanwhile, 61% of U.S. respondents across all age groups said they feel business, government and non-governmental organization actions hurt their ability to get quality health care. Fewer than 40% in the U.S. said they trust the media to accurately report health care information.”

This is what results from government overreach like during the pandemic.

I think this is what happens when people have been told not to trust institutions in this country. Love him or hate him the current president has sewn distrust in the media for 10 years now. Every institution in this country has been under attack for 10 years, doctors/healthcare included. This is how con artist like the Medical Medium have gained traction with millions of Americans who will trust his advice that an angel speaks to him (LOL) over seeing a doctor. I’ve witnessed this first hand with a relative who’s essentially thrown their life away. It’s scary……

Thankfully, we don’t take advice from the MSM. Blaming Trump is a lazy answer..do you really think Gen-Z ers listen to Trump?

It’s been longer than ten years….some of those institutions deserve some of that mistrust. The FDA was complicit on the opioid crisis with Purdue.

Social media is a big culprit. Anyone can post anything claiming they are an expert and for people that are dependent on social media they get drawn into their personal echo chamber, algorithm and trusted network. The pandemic also lessened the human touch and communication in person.
