I was holding out hope we would have landed Thorpe.

I really like the pickups we made for the future.

But not landing a grad transfer to help our senior class on top of probably losing angel without a replacement is extremely disappointing.

The only way to minimize early departures is either to have a replacement on your roster or have an incoming freshmen/transfer signed that can give you quality minutes for that player. It also means that the staff has to plan for the worse case scenario and , as an example Nzei will be a graduate senior with one year of eligibility after this season and they should be planning who will be replacing him if he leaves early and recruit accordingly.
