But it is a typical Georgetown one. This is not a typical Monmouth team.
monmouth beats shu nov-decI wish we were playing Monmouth this year. It would have been a very good game. They would have been a far better opponent than Troy.
playing at the big arena, finals week down thereAnybody watching? The building is less than half full. This time of the year these games against lower level D1 teams just don't draw in the north east.
The game however looks very intriguing. Monmouth up early 12-6.

if monmouth didn't have finals they would have had more than one bus to dc tonightMight be more Monmouth fans at RAC. Would not suprise me. They just sold out Wagner on campus on Sunday. Buzz is there.
they were 2-3 plays away from beating dayton and getting to orlando final too; conf play is tough no matter what league, they don't play conf again until 1/4, now they go into the soft part of their ooc - rutgers, cornell, armyKing Rice is going to be a hot coaching commodity after this season. I wonder how much Monmouth's RPI drops in the MAAC. Could possibly be in at large depening on how many losses in conference. Quality non conference wins.
crazy how conf play goes, bus trip to upstate nyGeorgetown is 6-4 with a loss to Radford and Monmouth at home. Monmouth lost to Canisuis.

how about this, monmouth will enter selection sunday with over/under 7 losses?

i counting the maac tourney into that line; a lot of the maac is really not goodSo that would mean 13-5 in the MAAC with non conference wins over UCLA, ND, Georgetown, USC (but not sure how good a win that is). Think they'd get an at large if thats the case.
I think it would depend on who they lose to in conf. Can't lose to the St Peters or Rider

but beat them neutral siteThey also lost to USC as well so that may not mean anything but the other wins are pretty impressive.
as always with the bubble, it will be different every year...we'll see where things are feb 15thOr Manhattan. You figure they have to have a slip up in conference though. And if they get picked off in the MAAC tourney, but still are regular season champs the NCAA committee has to take them instead of the automatic NIT? They have to be rewarded.
Everything equal. Monmouth's OOC schedule BLOWS ours away.
Monmouth missed their last 2 foul shots AND still made 31 of 37 ..away!
Monmouth got better shots, played better defense, rebounded better and out hustled them. They took GU apart and answered every bell. This is how you win games, especially how you win close games. This has been a major weakness for Seton Hall for years now. Cannot give up free points on the foul line.
That's because the schools like GT and UCLA etc pay Monmouth to play them as they are supposed to be easy wins. Just as we pay St.Peters and Dartmouth...
Nice...Trump was asked about the game, and he said GU had very low energy
