Georgetown - Monmouth

Has tons of intangibles going for him. But as for pure coaching, IMO he leaves a lot to be desired.

Trump was asked about the game, and he said GU had very low energy

Actually King Rice in the post game interview on FS1 said they may have GT off guard. After he thanked JTIII for scheduling his team.

Dan,
His team once again looks primed to get bounced in the 1st or 2nd round of the NCAA. But, this time if it happens again he won't be a 2 or 3 seed.

You take what coaches say in the post game at their word? Rice is being gracious. And who is GU to take a team who beat UCLA and ND lightly, specially after they lost to Radford earlier? GU should have been up to take Monmouth down a peg. But regardless, GU was very low energy...

Must have been the crowd that contributed to the low energy which is what this board usually says after losses to FDU and SPU. Especially after FDU posted a couple of good wins and Greg Herenda was getting some nice press like Rice. LOL!

assuming Monmouth wins ~90% of their in conference games, they should be in the mix for an at large bid given what they accomplished OOC. Impressive.

I suspect King Rice's number will be on speed dial for quite a few athletic directors in 2016.

In the pre-season discussion of what BE teams would make the Tourney I had GT pretty much a lock along with Nova , Xavier and Butler but I'm not so sure about GT anymore even though they have the talent to get there. They have 4 losses to date with very close losses to Duke and Maryland and of course the losses to Radford and Monmouth. Looking at GT's schedule its last 6 games could define their season and their Tourney aspirations are :

At Providence
Home to Seton Hall
Home to Xavier
Home to Butler
At Marquette
At Nova
