Just when I was starting to get a little excited after watching Cam Ward's performance yesterday. Doesn't get much worse than this. Unmitigated disaster.

Leave it to the Giants to blow the # 1 pick the same day Saquon Barkley tops 2.000 yards.

Sucking sucks, but squashing the itsy bitsy glimmer of hope you have for the future is just excruciating!

Draft Travis Hunter. None of these QBs are the answer for the giants. Double down on getting talent on the rest of the positions and hold for the following year when Danny dimes is less of a cap hit.

Schoen and Daboll take a QB. Have another bad season. New GM and coach come in- don’t like who he inherits at QB and drafts a new one a year later. A tale as old as time in the NFL.

I give the Giants so much rope in my fandom because of the Super Bowls. I beat into my head how lucky I am at my age to see them play in 5 and win 4, including two of the best games and biggest upsets in NFL history.

All that said, them winning today how they did was par on course for the last two years and years before the improbably playoff season in year 1 of Daboll/Schoen.

What difference does it make to have the #1 pick?

This tanking stuff is so annoying and overrated

Jacksonville had a little party when the jets won in 2021..what difference does that make

There are already scout gurus who have SMASHED Sanders and Ward…so no one knows anything

Just let it play out

Be nice if Cleveland beats Miami. That puts Giants at # 2 which is fine as the Pats have their QB but could and should shop the pick. Bigger problem is Eagles will continue to screw us and sit their starters next week. We could win two in a row and drop down in the draft order significantly. And the dummies could have had additional draft capital trading Ojulari and Slayton at the deadline and didn’t do it. Now they will have to give up a lot if they try or have to move up. Continued malpractice by Schoen.

First look said Ward maybe. Did not love Sanders. Plus, every win keeps the current two in charge. At this very moment it seems hopeless. I would not be surprised if the Eagles play their FG kicker at QB next week, so the Giants keep falling in the draft. Lol.

Hunter will not be available where they pick now.

Not sure of your source Dan. Most sites have Cleveland third and Giants fourth. Doesn’t matter though it’s not #1 anymore.

As a Dolphins fan I thank the Giants for taking out the Colts.
Our glimmer of playoff hope is a little brighter

The Giants cannot get their first round pick wrong this year and if it’s not a QB they need to draft an impact player . To me that means an OT .

MCCord will be the best qb in this class and he might not even come out..and you don’t need the first pick to get him

It's from ESPN and it was posted with a couple of games left.

You can’t ask paid pros to not try to win. Such is life. They’ve had a lot more issues than draft order.
Exactly. A lot of these guys are playing for jobs or careers. They're certainly not worried about where the Giants pick in next year's draft if they're not going to be here.

Drew Lock is hoping to put up enough good tape to convince someone he can be a competent back-up.

Plus, a lot of those knocking the players for having the nerve to win, would be the first to (rightfully) jump on them at the hint of not trying.

or the eagles dont and saquon gets the record vs the giants. which would you prefer?

Only QB I trust in this draft in 1st Round is Cam Ward. I think he’ll be there assuming Titans take Hunter at #1.

I watched enough of him this year to see he is probably the best of the choices. Sanders too much of a head case.

Rodgers to the 49ers; Giants and Niners swap first round picks..giants get Purdy..draft a lineman at 11 and either trade back into the first round our use the 2nd round pick to draft the cuse qb

The Giants will play home games against the Chiefs (hello, Patrick Mahomes), Chargers, Vikings and the last place team in the NFC West — most likely the 49ers, in addition to their annual NFC East games against the Eagles, Commanders and Cowboys.

For their road games, the Giants will travel to Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Las Vegas and Carolina.

They will also play on the road against the Patriots, plus their division games in Dallas, Philadelphia and Washington.

Ouch. Giants better figure this out quickly or another 3-14 season is very possible. Home schedule is brutal for a last place team. This season that just concluded they had the 3rd hardest strength of schedule in the NFL.

I think the QBs may go 1/2 and the Giants land Hunter at 3, but it's probably way too premature to speculate at this point given how it seems the QBs are evaluated differently.
I've read the same thing but it's way too early to know. I'd actually sign for Hunter in a Miami minute. First pick the best available athlete, but importantly don't make another mistake and tie yourself to another unsure bet who can set you back years again. Whatever they do DO NOT waste significant and valuable draft capital to try to move up for either of these QBs!
