in 2020, China added 48.2 GW in solar and 38.4 GW in coal. Not quite double, LOL.They are building a ton of new everything. They actually added more GW of capacity from solar last year than coal. Renewables were double the increase in coal, and they have also been increasing nuclear at a fair clip as well.
Don't know why solar even enters into this discussion though as this was strictly about coal. In 2020, China initiated 5 times the new coal plant
proposals as the rest of the world combined.
Point being to me, does it even matter what the rest of the world does if China is doing this?
