It's with a heavy heart that I have to post this. JP passed away. I believe this morning but am not sure.
I called the police department this morning when I could not reach him and asked that they go to his house. There they broke in and found him unresponsive but could not tell me anything else until they spoke to his next of kin. Knowing that he previously worked with Jerry Carino I called Jerry and asked him to see if JP had an emergency contact at the newspaper. He did, his sister. I gave that info to the police department.
We (his sister) just spoke on the phone as she called me getting my number through the police. It was her, Donna, who told me to post the news.
There are no funeral details yet but when I get them I will share.
Right now I am both in shock and am heartbroken as we became very close. For that reason I just don't have the desire to dig for inside info for the Trove for a couple of days.
Please understand and say a prayer for JP.
