Sure the team was down after the game but once the initial hurt of the loss faded all the players in the press conference as well as KW said what most fans leaving the arena were probably thinking, job well done. All expect one that is

You would not believe how upset Derrick Gordon was. I'll have his quotes on the Trove for our subscribers, but here I'll say this. It's pretty clear how much he wants to win, how much blame he puts on himself when his team doesn't, and why he is the unquestioned leader of this team.

Loved Gibbs last season but I would make the trade of Sterling for Derrick on this roster every day of the week.

He is just what Seton Hall needs, defense, leadership, intensity, a player who doles out the credit for every win and accepts the blame for every loss.

Derrick Gordon is a man's man and Seton Hall is very lucky to have him. Even if for only one year.

Seniors/grad transfers always see that NCAA clock ticking away

Of course JP is right as obviously his above tweet was about Gordon. But in this case it's more about the intensity of the player than about his dwindling eligibility clock.

Incredible will to win through hard work and determination. Humble in victory and crushed in defeat.

Well, he did make 3 bad decisions down the stretch.

But I hear what you're saying, he's a good kid who loves the game and wants to win.
I hope that rubs off on the younger guys this season.

I love the kid; he's been the biggest difference this year, in my opinion. He's the adhesive on this team, and its emotional leader. He does, occasionally, as Proud Sports Fan points out, make an odd choice in a game situation, but he probably makes just as many heady plays, and you certainly can't question him leaving it all out there. I thought he'd be a good addition to the team, but I'm really surprised at what he's been.

I believe gordon is the key to the Creighton game. I think you start him for defensive purposes stick him on that fast point guard and have a real impact on the game..I am hoping to see this happen for real at the upcoming game.

Winners mentality and someone easy to root for. I hope these guys rally around him because if they do we could see some really good things happen this back end of the season.
