DEBARY, FLA. – Freshman Amelie Gras (Elancourt, France) shot an 8-over-par, 224, to help lift the Seton Hall women's golf team to a third-place team finish at the 2025 Babs Steffens Invitational on Tuesday.

Gras was consistently terrific throughout the three-round event, using four birdies to fuel a team-best 2-over-par, 74, on Tuesday. For the tournament, she placed eighth among 86 individual golfers with a career-low 8-over-par, 76-74-74-224.

Queens-Charlotte's Jillian Fatkin won the individual title at 1-over-par.

As a team, the Pirates put forth their second strong performance to start the spring season. The highlight of the tournament was a second-round 6-over-par, 294. Coincidentally, the Pirates also shot a 6-over-par, 294, in the second round of their first tournament this spring, the Columbia Classic.

For the tournament, The Hall was 47-over-par with a 312-294-305-911, to place third in the field of 15 teams. Host Stetson won the team title at 12-over-par, while Jacksonville placed second at 29-over-par. Seton Hall's lone BIG EAST competition, St. John's, placed seventh at 77-over-par.

Despite a tough final round, sophomore Renee Rane (New Delhi, India) tied for 16th place overall. Her top round of the tournament was a 1-over-par, 73, in round two thanks to three birdies and 12 pars. For the three-round event, she was 14-over-par with a 78-73-79-230.

THE COURSE:
DeBary Golf & Country Club is Florida golf at its finest. Our challenging golf course was designed by Lloyd Clifton. Most holes are set away from the community by a buffer zone of dense woods and vegetation. With great course conditions, undulating fairways, and greens that roll true and fast, it's no wonder that DeBary Golf & Country Club is consistently chosen as a U.S. Open Qualifying site. DeBary is sure to offer you the premier golf experience you have been craving.

The National Audubon Society certified the course's natural habitat as a bird sanctuary. Water only comes into play on the freshly re-designed, risk-reward Par 5 11th hole and on the finishing two holes of each nine, where the 9th and 18th greens meet for a panoramic view from the elegant clubhouse. The course is complemented by complete practice facilities including a driving range, chipping green, and putting green.

THE FIELD:
In addition to Seton Hall and host Stetson, the field included 13 other schools: Albany, Bethune-Cookman, Bucknell, Chicago State, Jacksonville, Keiser University, Lehigh, LeMoyne, Palm Beach State, Seminole State, Troy and West Georgia. BIG EAST rival St. John's is also in the field.

THE FORMAT:
Teams played five golfers and count the four lowest scores per round.

UP NEXT:
Seton Hall will return to tournament action in two weeks when it heads to Vero Beach, Fla. For three rounds of golf at the Northern Kentucky Invitational.
