Gtown up 30-24 at the half. X shooting 1-10 from 3 while Gtown 0-6 woof.
The announcers are absolutely horrible--non-stop talking, both at the same time --

Where can we find a Mack, Peavy, and Sorber? What’s that cost? Lol

Cooley changed the roster and it’s paying off.

We could’ve found Sorber at his house in Jersey, but we decided not to offer him.

I hate it, but Cooley built a serious squad. GT could make a run for a tournament birth if Epps can get healthy

They look dangerous right now with those 3 guards, Sorber and some athletic size and depth.

See this is not cool, total misinformation for the fan base.

We offered and GTown came in well above our offer.

I will not disrespect my source and disclose actual numbers. But he was a top 50 HS recruit that got paid very well. Bottomline he was well out of our price range.

I agree. Cooley has a solid team developing at all levels. They played us without Mack or it wouldn't have been as close; he's a real crafty, heady, skilled guard with great shooting touch out of Harvard. They also play good team defense. And he's got about the same roster churn Seton Hall does: His team is 265th in minutes continuity, whereas ours is 266th.

Their non-conference resume sticks. Overall despite being 12-2, 3-0 they're only NET #75 with 357th SOS per KP, best win at NET #159/KP #124 Syracuse. They have A LOT of work to do to prove they're a Bubble team, but they have the talent to do it.

3-0 is huge progress for for them. They were 4-55 the past 4 years in the regular season. I still cannot believe that, damn (2-18, 2-18, 0-19).

Sorber telling the broadcast guys that he wasn’t offered by SH or RU is already out there. Not spreading something that we all haven’t heard already.

Don’t know your source and not really arguing it, but Sorber committed in May of 2023 at which time Sha was recruiting other top 50 class of ‘24 guys. We probably wouldn’t have had a shot, but what you’re saying does not accurately depict Sha’s recruiting

The more I watch other BE teams on FS1 and 2, the greater the distance looks between #s10 and 11. Hope I'm wrong, but thus far.....

Same. Nobody looks as unorganized as Seton Hall does with the ball, nobody plods the way we do looking totally out of sync constantly. We often look like a midmajor playing a power conference on offense.

We play good defense occasionally but that's predicated on generating turnovers and clearing 2nd chance opportunities bc we're weak in core FG defense. We foul a ton and leave 3PT shooters open everywhere because we overplay and don't recover and smart passing teams carve us up. We foul so much all season bc we don't have enough talent and we're out of position.

When we're generating turnovers and grabbing offensive rebounds off our insane amount of missed shots, the games look much more competitive but still ugly as heck.

Last year many thought Cooley was a failure at Georgetown, including many Georgetown fans. In NIL era, things can turn on a dime.

Major roster improvement by Cooley between Year 1 and Year 2. The first season for coaches is usually a lot of transition anyway. Cooley is a good coach, proven to build programs, and Georgetown has money. Ed is sharp and a good marketer, can connect those pieces. And he's a good enough coach to improve things.

The problem was Ewing ran it into the ground despite being a program hero and apathy set in. Their attendance is improving again too. I hope what they went through is not what's on the horizon for us for the near future, but this year has been quite scary so far for Holloway and The Hall. Not sure how we whiffed so badly - it's alarming - but I hope it's just a one time thing to be this atrocious.

Posted all summer that Cooley spent a fortune on recruiting and the team would be far, far better.

This is spot on. We are almost halfway through the season. The team has had numerous practices and individual workouts since last Summer. The coach is still very frustrated with their practice effort and workout mentality. Whatever it is, nothing is clicking game day on a consistent basis.
