Guess which conference has the number one Nielsen brand rating for the past season?

I expect this trend to continue, so long as current Big East can be preserved.

All these schools changing conferences waters down their history and tradition. People care about tradition. People caring = $.
Yeah, but it's more than that. It's quality of play. It's quality of coaches. And it is tradition. We've got a nice thing going here. Is it a nice thing that people are willing to pay a lot of money for? That's unclear. But this is a nice confirmation of what we thought all along about this conference.

I wonder how much impact UConn (#1 team) had on the cumulative league rankings. In relation to this having impact on the Fox contract, I’m sure Fox is well aware UConn is desperately trying to leave the league and would walk to any football conference given the opportunity.

I would put more stock in this ranking if UConn wasn’t driving the results (assuming they are).

I'm sure it helped, but it's not like we would have the number one brand value if it was only Connecticut driving the rankings.

I don't know what drives this particular rating, but having the defending national champion (with a known, national basketball brand) plus 4 teams in the Sweet 16 this year has to help bring eyeballs, I would think.

On top of that, the Cooley to Georgetown move received significant attention. Maybe that is more "niche" or "regional", but I feel like it was a pretty big story and him being at another recognized brand should help.

Last, there is the "Pitino-factor". Having him trying to rebuild NYC's team is a big deal, not just locally. And if he wins at all that will have legs.
