Sha said he’s shortening the rotation and that he has guys that just care about themselves. 👀

And he has older guys who can’t play press for long periods.

Woof. What a mess. Play the freshman and sophomores and move on.

Um…re shortened lineup, about time. We recognized that…. Many many games ago.

Re “older guys who can’t go that long”….um…Are we running a CYO team here? I maybe forgot what we’re paying for. I thought it was a division 1 men’s basketball program.

But if I’m wrong, please correct me. I wouldn’t want to overwork else Finance majors.

I mean…what????????

Well you built the team so look in the mirror

Go back to intro conference… this job is to important to mess up……. Wellllll

I heard it and can only speculate on who he means. I agree with him about having to play with energy. I disagree with his point that if you play good defense then you will play good offense. If your skillset is devoid of offensive ability then it doesn't appear magically.

Start the young guys. Let the players that are starting besides Coleman be the depth players off the bench. Maybe Felton, Dual, Middleton, Coleman and Godswill.

I watch the team every game and I have no idea who he is referring to. They play so erratically that selfishness goes completely unnoticed lol.
In all seriousness I would say Wusu. His ridiculous drives to the hoop that always fail are pure selfishness. But it would be shocking if Sha was referencing him.

Id have to guess Toumi, possibly Middleton. But im just as lost on it

I miss when we had defense to hang our hat on. Vanderbilt, Ok State, Rutgers, and Villanova have carved us up. 50%+ per game. Terrible.
at least it wasn't some of the smack downs against nova i've seen before. better team won comfortably at home with enough competition to keep on the gas.

its probably our ceiling lol

I don’t get it either. Our offense starts so late into the shot clock. It’s under 20 seconds before the ball starts moving and it’s back to dribble hand offs around the 3 point line with no momentum to the basket. You are basically forced to take a bad shot with the clock winding down all the time. At least in the Rutgers game, you’d come off a screen with a drive towards the basket.

Wusu and Toumi take terrible shots constantly. Usually bc Wusu has killed the shot clock not having a clue what he’s doing.

Wusu’s drives are a product of poor offense and him trying to at least got a shot up on the rim. He’s the only person other than Coleman who can get to the rim half way decent.

Feel exactly the same. I watch everything, even replays of stuff I miss "live", and I have no clue who he could be referring to except for possibly Toumi who forces offense sometimes (and even then, that could be because that's essentially what we need him to do).

Exactly. This isn't football where your defense can literally score points for you. Defense in basketball keeps the opponents score down, it doesn't increase yours if you are incapable of putting a ball through a basket.

Aligbe- 5min played and lost the second half start

Geez, Coach has to own this. Recruited said players. Can you imagine Jay Wright using this as an excuse? Guys can't shoot FTs, cannot generally run a good offense.

Sha can't decide on a core group. Maybe he needs some analytics and not his gut "feel" for the game. It doesn't feel or look very good right now.

Cannot compare Rutgers as a defensive opponent with two superstar freshman, not polished on defense, with Nova.

Good fundamentals as always for Nova: 3 point shooting and FTs, fakes on the floor to draw fouls. Wright in the stands and surely tutoring Neptune on the sidelines.

Sorry -- I do not understand what Sha is saying ? Blaming his Team for being selfish ?

You're right. I forgot that we got smacked 80-54 at Wells Fargo last year. Brendan Hausen shot 5-8 from 3 against us - he's averaging 15 for Kansas St. this season.

I'm trying to take any positive I possibly can lately, so yeah, at least it wasn't that bad.

Same as step-back Sterling when poor offense forced him to take desperation 3s. No triangle offense on our team.

15 is really good for that type of player

I'd be curious to hear what the players are thinking of Sha right now.
If they want playing time, they’ll stay silent OR all stand together and say what they think. Season was over before this game, it’s over now for sure. Wonder how many players he’ll retain now with that presser.

Bottom line is that the highest paid employee by far has done a horrible job since winning the NIT last season. He recruited these players, coached them during the summer and the fall and his results are abysmal. There are so many things that he must change to be successful once more and I am not sure he can do that.

To be fair, this has happened numerous times over the past couple of years. Teams will good offenses or at least good offensive talent have overcome our defense more than you would like to see.

Tuesday was the 18th time in 80 games in the Holloway era we've allowed an opponent to shoot 50% or better from the floor. Unsurprisingly, we are winless in those games.

The ten man lineup was always a pipe dream at this level. It’s even more unrealistic when you consider our nil situation. Spreading a thin budget across ten guys is insane.
And then he’s saying some of them can’t even play intensively for long periods? We need someone to help evaluate talent. Maybe Francis is that guy. This was a total whiff.

Hand it over to the lineup that started the second half but switch Wusu with Jenkins, please. That’s the Dual/Jenkins-Coleman-Middleton group everyone wants to see and has some life. Let them play 30 minutes/game.

Aligbe completely blew assignment on defense v. Dixon who literally is one of the best scorers in the country. Aligbe was nowhere near him on his first few shots and that allowed Nova to get off to a good start.
I was told Aligbe thought he signed up for the track and field team. He likes doing cardio during the games

Who are.the older guys? Wusu, toumi, jenkins, maybe prince. Theres not many. It cant be jenkins. The other 3 take ridiculously wild shots

Yeah let’s hire Joe Stiff from Canisus instead!
