Can someone please translate from NYShoreGuy-eese into English?
On the e60 episode Danny said maybe it would have been better to have gone to Rutgers
He didn't provide the reason, but he took a major ration of s**t from some a***ole Seton Hall fans. He couldn't match his brother's excellence and thus he became a favorite target of the lower rung of fandom.
i sat with peopke who booed his every action. We had good seats. I think there were 5 of them. They were big. They were loud. And they hated Dan's father.
Forgive my naïveté, but is there reason to believe Danny would have been treated much better there? He was taking crap because he was Bob’s son and Bobby’s brother, right? I don’t see how that changes if he goes there. The only difference was Seton Hall was a prominent and relevant college basketball program at the time. More attention. Higher standard.
I guess he’s saying he perhaps would have been more anonymous and have much less pressure playing for a totally shit program that had no expectation of winning tournament games, let alone making The Dance. Maybe. Or maybe their miserable fans would have latched onto him for being a Hurley and given him even more flack.
Also, didn’t he meet his wife at Seton Hall? Yeah, seems like he made the right choice then.
