I cant breathe

Why is this on a Georgetown players Jersey? This is absurd.

Terrible loss by the way (magnified by the happy hour time)
ill admit to the happy hour time for sure. i apologize. keyboard therapy. i cant breathe from watching our team not getting lose balls.

youre right tho. it seems like a year since that was relevant. gtown has always been the face of civil rights tho.

i barely noticed it until they showed replays. usually replays of us not getting fouls called

Maybe that explains in the one-sided officiating. Criminal, but it kind of makes sense. This has no place in college or professional sports but unfortunately, our country is now backwards.

Why is it absurd? Are you genuinely asking because you don't know the significance of this phrase?

Ok next BLM rally how about a basketball game breaks out and we say **** the social message?

I dont give two shits what a player thinks about politics, just like my boss doesnt give a shit what I think.
Seems like you do care. If you didn't why would you ask about it and call it absurd?

Delete this thread if you really don't care.

Why can't players and organizations speak about what they want, just like you can. Leave it up to the politicians and you get status quo. That's how you push for change

Its college basketball. Why can't we separate athetic contests that people enjoy from political games?

Its really not a radical idea.

So if a player is proTrump, he can wear MAGA on his jersey. Got it...makes sense.

If you were born black or brown I'm sure you'd sing a different tune.

Do you have daughters, a mother or a wife? They didn't have the same rights as you white man not too long ago.

You like your medicare and social security and unions? Someone fought and died for those rights too. Hope you didn't graduate from SHU cuz you are an ignorant fool

Why is it lots? It's a college athletic event.... explain why that political bs is on a game Jersey. It's a joke.
Because georgetown is an urban liberal/progressive campus and in case you missed it, players of majority african american or african descent populate their primary sport, men's basketball

This is a team game, nobody should have anything on their shirt

Difference is you know nothing about Uncle Hector (nor do I). We all know about Garner. You can acknowledge that someone didn’t deserve to die while also acknowledging they weren’t exactly a model citizen and shouldn’t be treated as a hero.

"He was no hero." Oh, okay.

Would it be encouraged for a player to say hes gay or straight on their Jersey??

Imagine if Whitehead came out with "I love Pussy" on his Jersey...... I bet youd be all for it.....clown.
Embarrassing and offensive that you think this is the same thing.

How many thousands of murders are there in this country each year? I don’t know one is worse than the other, they are all horrific. So where do you draw the line on what’s acceptable and what’s not to wear on a freaking jersey.

You should just come out and say you cant have an opinion if you're white. At least we would respect your balls, instead of being a pansy and claiming offense

The big east came out and supported BLM over the summer. BLM is on every school jersey.

Correct. I tend to agree with you a lot, but our definition of “hero” differs if you think Garner was one. Didn’t deserve to die, folks deserved to be held accountable. But facts are facts.
