SLOW DOWN. they have more unforced turnovers in the first 7 games than we had all last year. At least it seems that way. Stop you throwing the ball out of bounding trying fast breaks when you’re not familiar with other each other.

As the great legendary UCLA coach, John Wooden, once said: be quick, but don’t hurry. We are moving way too fast with no purpose. Makes a mess out of offense and defense.
Horrible effort but the season is not totally lost. I think it’s time for the players only meeting. They need to reset and decide how are they going to finish out the rest of this non conference. This tournament was a grind that took its toll on them. Mentally they need to reset and focus.
Sha also needs to gather his staff together and figure out what they are doing wrong and how they are going to fix it. No more playing favorites and keeping his guys out there over the Willard players unless they are playing exceptionally well. Kadary is not perfect but he keeps Dawes in despite his poor decision making. Same with Femi and Tae Davis . He keeps throwing Tae into the fire and clearly he is not ready and should only be used in spot min. He needs to switch up the lineup and also design some offensive sets. All they do is pass the ball around the arc and drive into traffic. Where are the kick outs to open shooters, pick and roll with Tyrese, ball reversals to make the defense move, flair cuts, back doors anything creative to get easy buckets. Defense also is horrible. It was supposed to be his calling card and good PGs have been destroying us left and right.

Maybe it’s time for Sha to call a team meeting where whatever issues are at the route cause of the way this team is playing can be brought into the open. If the players have a problem with Sha let’s get it out in the open and if Sha and his staff have a problem with the team’s attitude or effort or with individual players lay it on the table and get back to playing sound , fundamental , winning basketball.
