People always saw flashed in him but this is his first year of playing good basketball. It is also his senior year and he's still not an NBA level talent.

If you were Kardary would you ...
  • Press through injures with the hope that you would impress scouts knowing that this year really should be your last year?
  • Play it cautious as you still will have a pro carrier overseas or potentially make decent NIL money playing at another school next year?
  • Play it cautious and return to Seton Hall with the hopes of Sha is going to get him to even a higher level.

Or how about what if you were really sore and didn't think you could or should play?
Thats what I am saying, if you were hurt and didn't think you should play would you press through?

Obviously we don't know the extent of the injury, but if it was a pain management issue and no long term effects.

My guess is he pushed through Creighton game and might have regretted it since he was hurt. Or possibly aggravated it playing all those minutes. Now Richmond and/or team is being more cautious. Just hope we get him back after Depaul game. Probably not winning today with him but Creighton and Providence was different story with him healthy. Just win next one and hope for best going forward.

100% speculation here:

He’s prob cleared to play and can play…toughed out the creighton game..which makes coaches happy (and kind of fans) but obviously was not at peak performance.

He is definitely “hurting” and is probably conscience of his performance, either for NIL or professional reasons and he thinks it’s not worth playing like this with diminished output…the better option is sitting out until he can perform how he thinks is optimal

Obviously as a coach you would not be thrilled and see Shas response

Difference with playing through lingering pain/discomfort vs a situation that can lead to further injury or reinjure

I would bet it’s in here.

Maybe it’s very calculating for future earnings or maybe he just simply doesn’t want to play sore, make it worse and linger longer, or get seriously injured and miss a lot more time than this. Esp thinking his team had some cushion and is now only halfway through the year.

But the fact it’s getting kind of lengthy now is more concerning. He’s already had a week off.

Could be a repeat of last year. We may have seen the last of him.

so by this logic any senior should just sit out any game they don't feel 100%

Get lost…you personally attack players..like taking a shot at Wusu’s ACTUAL intelligence because you don’t like how he plays basketball..you’re irrelevant here..your schtick of absolutey bashing players because you pretend to love Sha because you like to (still) bash KW is old..no one takes you serious

to just use some nonsense phrase like “not 100%” means nothing here

He had a serious back injury last year..tweaked it..played (51 minutes btw) obviously below his normal standard and he doesn’t want to…even this board had the “I know he’s hurt but he can’t finish is killing us”

Maybe he didn’t like the idea they knew he was hurting and played him 51 minutes

blah blah blah i'm actually defending kadary on that comment lol. go look at all my kadary posts. dry january is getting you cranky!

There's no such thing as playing with pain that won't cause further injury. It is troubling that Kadary didn't make the trip however. It's not like these guys fly coach.

I’ve had numerous back issues and every Orthopedic physician will tell you flying is the worst thing you can do. No one here is a physician so making that claim is just silly.

Everyone knows his own body. You can get to a point as an athlete in a contact sport where you know your body just needs to heal. I applaud Kadary for setting a boundary so he can just heal. As a fan it's disappointing to see the team lose. But I really believe he will come back just as strong as ever, pretty soon. It's his team. He's the leader. It must be killing him to not be able to play now. He must have a lot of pain.

My gut is he'll dress at DePaul on the road. If it was a home game I would have predicted near 100%.

If not tomorrow short of a re-injury 100% home to Georgetown.
you have to rest him for Depaul, silly to put him on a plane when after this game we have a full week off. I am sorry but if you cannot beat Depaul without him, you deserve the NIT
