Gee, those “huge” numbers are similar to May 2021, 2 months ago, when vaccinated people had absolutely no fear. It’s the fact that numbers have dropped soooo low that even doubling them just get you back to 1-2 months ago.

Key is what percent of new cases are people who have been vaccinated.If it is mainly unvaccinated then it is on them.Rather than focusing on fear of future focus on unvaccinated hoping to give them the courage and sense to get vaccinated.

We should move along? Israel is now finding Pfizer vaccine is now only 64% effective against Delta. Oh baby we have a long way to go with this pandemic.

That is a model for number of people infected including those not tested.

You can back test the death and hospitalization numbers though.
On March 6th 2021, their projection for July 1st was between 24,434 and 28,382 and their projection for hospitalizations was between 147 and 371.

4 months later, those were reasonable projections.

That said, their projection between best case and worst case by October 1st is about 800 additional deaths over the next three months, and hospitalizations will be more than 4 times lower than they were at the peak of the worst time in NJ.

These projections are really not surprising. Removing restrictions would of course result in more cases and deaths. The point has been to get that worst case number as low as we can so we can get back to normal, and we accomplished that (at least in NJ we did)
