Today anti- BLM counterprotester was shot and killed at a Black Lives Matter protest in Portland and an organizer did not show any remorse. I whole heartedly support the concept that our BE coaches want to emphasize. However, the BLM movement has been hijaked by bad actors. And divisiveness is increasing. I fear that this patch will turn into a negative and defeat the message our coaches want to promote among fans, students and players. I hope the BE coaches are re-evaluating this patch idea as it may confuse a lot of people.

I actually thought this thread was going to be about Brandon. He is from New York, isn't he; or Chicago? And he went to high school in Wisconsin last year, but will be in Arizona next year? I readily admit I am old (MBF class of '72), but can someone explain the Marco Polo-travels of this young man? Thank you....
According to the DA in Portland outside agitators have now come into the city to promote violence. Before anyone jumps to conclusions let’s wait for the facts. As everyone knows most right wing groups such like the patriot prayer exists as an excuse to be able to carry automatic weapons as per the 2nd amendment . You do realize that the basis of their argument is that these groups must have the same if not more firepower than the police and the federal troops. So this makes them more of a terrorist threat to our democracy than any other group. These groups will turn on you quicker than you think. So the question is why are these groups invading these cities such as Portland and Kenosha, instead of leaving the local and state authorities to care of it. One has to wonder that after weeks of demonstrations this shooting happens after the right wing group shows up. Some could surmise that it was friendly fire. For history buffs of the rise of power of the fascist movement in the 1930’s these groups would look for a martyr to advance their agenda, even if it meant shooting one of their members themselves, in order to receive sympathy and support. But I digress let’s wait for the facts to come out .

100 straight nights of riots in Portland and the mayors latest is just to request is “to stop the violence”. He may want to change his strategy.
