Isaiah Coleman

He’s playing at a very high level, leading the team. We need to continue with the lineup in the second half, and deal with them. We obviously need something from our bigs, but Prince had a light go off. He’s playing much better the last two games. Add in Jenkins, Middleton and Felton plus Addae-Wusu for most minutes. I haven’t seen anyone else provide anything worth more than 5-10 minutes.

I think Zay stays this good or gts better. Hope he is figuring out how to finish better. His shot looks terrific. If Chaunce keeps up what he started vs PC (people say it threes or layups today but I hope Chaunce and Zay keep shooting those beautiful pull ups) and Prince stays close to where he has been the last two games, we will be a far better watch than I expected. Add scottie to this trio and we might surprise a few teams.

Has our athletic department said anything about revenue sharing? Most reports say schools will have averaging 20 mil (we would probably be considerably less)

But we obviously don’t offer football
And offer a very very small amount of sports…we are barely a d-1 level

revenue sharing could help us a little bit in NIL

Yes, as a PB contributor I got a long email from Felt today. Long on general plans but light on details. It acknowledges that SHU is in a critical time and clearly the school will be funding players directly, how much is still unknown. The plan seems to be that Onward Setonia will be folded into PB though that will be reviewed in the summer when the settlement goes into effect. As noted, light on details but it was good to get something acknowledging the obvious need to step up.

A similar note was sent a few months ago and he discussed this change in a Zags article pre season.

Keeping Coleman here for next year MUST be the priority for the staff. We cannot stand a repeat season where the team loses another top player.
It's been crickets from McBride & company--
I do not envy Mr. McBride. I think he's facing Mission Impossible. But he had to know what he was signing up for when he took the job.

His development has been a shining light in a rough season. Despite dealing with some injuries and illnesses, he continues to progress.

When he is moving downhill he uses his elite leaping ability to shoot his pull-up jumper over any defender. He's hitting his 3's, drawing fouls, converting his FTs and becoming a major pest on the offensive glass. Doing it all, while playing within himself, not forcing shots and playing efficiently. He's been excellent for us lately and has so many things he can still improve on. Hoping he continues to do it at Seton Hall.

When did courts start having hills on them?

who’s better. Coleman or Rhoden
Good question. As sophomores I would say Coleman. But Rhoden was playing with Powell, Cale , Sandro so he wasn’t asked to do what Coleman has to do for us this season. Rhoden really developed over his four years at SHU. What Coleman is doing as a sophomore is really impressive.

I don’t think he’s getting enough hype bc we’re terrible.

He’s got a 117.8 o-rating on 74.3 minutes %. Similarly, Dre Davis last year was 118 on 81.3%.

In 5 BE games he’s 126.0 and 81%, 8th in o-rating, 3rd in usage.

Olivari lead the league in scoring last year, shot the shit out of the ball, did other stuff, and made all league honorable mention.

Epps scored like 19 or whatever a game, near the top of the league and led the Hoyas in numerous other statistical categories. Didn’t even make an all league team.

Context matters with all this stuff.

It’s no surprise we now see Ashworth creeping into the top 5 players by metrics in the league via Kenpom. With Isaacs down and others yet to emerge, it’s a much different situation for him. McDermott does a great job of developing guards and wings and so I expect one or two others to emerge more but we’ll see.
