Incredibly that's the halftime Stat for ish in the georgetown DePaul game from chicago...caught a plane ..limped out on the court ..man does this kid love playing defense

In a sense Ish reminds me of Gordon Winchester. Didn't do much his first year but then Gordon became our stopper or best defender. i see the same in Ish.

Ish is a man out there! He goes against their trees and cuts them down. Hope he is OK.

Actually from his build and style he reminds me of the defensive impact Glenn mosley used to have a a game..they never saw him coming either.. half a dozen asst coaches will be going how do you spell sonogo..careful or you could get ish'd

Ish is one of those players that come along from time to time that become a mainstay of a team thru sheer hard work and dedication and SH has been blessed with that type of player in the past and now they have another one.

I have always loved D over O. So it might not be the popular choice but Sanogo is quickly becoming my favorite player on the team.

The players who do the dirty work deserve more credit than they usually get. So while most give (deserved) kudos to the likes of Angel, Desi, Carrington or Whitehead I'll save mind for Ish.

I'm with Dan on this one. Ish is a ton of fun to watch. He's everywhere on defense.

ish's development and growth spurt are crazy. that plus Desi's development, particularly stretching the D and shooting the 3, are 2 huge factors that we could not have accounted for coming into the season. The progressions of these 2 are game changers for us.

It's funny while watching last night I was thinking the same thing. And how good would that be?!

I'm liking the fact that it seems the players on this team accept their roles.. Ish taking pride in being a stopper... Satisfied with scoring on "garbage" baskets (and I mean that as a huge positive.'m rebounds,).

Gordon kind if the same, etc. And that may sound odd but... not having a bunch if guys that think they can shoot threes is resulting in us jacking up a LOT less the point shots that are I'll advised.

Good so far, big win last night... But after last year I think we all just want (need?) to see this continue right thru January and some very tough games

Agree on Ish, but some of the others you mentioned have also been playing great D and doing the dirty work.

As far as Ish, I had limited expectations despite the fact that i think he was the player you had frequently mentioned that would surprise this year. He's definitively done that, and then some.

Please don't take this as a negative comment towards Ish but he needs to improve on his passing in to the post. Nevertheless he is truly becoming one of my favorite players and to hold a true NBA player to minimum points is a testament to his development.

Ish is a major piece of the puzzle that this team has to finish to make the high expectations that a lot of us have. He is still young and learning and may actually be growing...physically. He is certainly bigger than last year. Can you imagine him with another year under his belt.? I am a big D guy and he could be the next Jerry Walker! And Jerry was one of my favorite SHU players of all time. Except Ish will have 4 years of eligibility.
