Except for the fact that Laranega has a long long career and actually achieved those things AT THE CURRENT school in a power conference….massive differenceaccording to this board laranega must be a horrible coach and the team is nuked because of the last 1.5 years despite E8 and F4 two and three years ago.
maybe its just NIL.
Larranga's complaints about NIL aren't about a lack of resources. His complaints are same as everyone else's- having to constantly re-recruit your own players due to unlimited transfers, agents approaching players and coaches during the season and the total lack of transparency.Except for the fact that Laranega has a long long career and actually achieved those things AT THE CURRENT school in a power conference….massive difference
And Laranega has complained about his NIL for 18 months now
That is what I said when he retired..trust me I know..he has complained about resources for 18 monthsLarranga's complaints about NIL aren't about a lack of resources. Miami was one of the first teams to pay players big salaries (through John Ruiz) and they rode it to an E8 and F4. After paying guys good money, they all went in the Portal seeking more money.
"What shocked me, beyond belief, was after we made it to the Final Four just 18 months ago, the very first time I met with the players, eight of them decided they were going to put their name in the portal and leave".
I get it..but that’s not entirely correctLarranga's complaints about NIL aren't about a lack of resources. It’s still early. Let’s see where it is @ BET time. 😰
yup. even the schools that have money don't like it. its going to turn into a horrible product very quickly and the core fanbase will be over it quickly.Larranga's complaints about NIL aren't about a lack of resources. its just rearranging players every year and hoping you get lucky one of those years. teams will have big spending years and small spending years. fans will have absolutely zero connection to these teams, which is what the whole point was supposed to be about. At first it was dealing with money but still having a conventional team-building function. Now it's nothing. P4P, annual free agency.

and if abig school doesn't have enough what does a small school have? this is like pro sports with an actual poverty class.Lol
Btw Laranega would tell you they don’t have money or enough money
Exactly what I’ve said from the beginning..glad you caught up
Which is different than 20 years ago how?and if abig school doesn't have enough what does a small school have? this is like pro sports with an actual poverty class.
So the old big East. Pretty much who we should reach out to when schools secede.
