Nothing like year 6 and possibly 7. No better time in history to be a college athlete
Kid will probably end up with multiple degrees. 2 schools for 5 years is the way the player takes advantage of the system. Now, gains another year of credits.
He can either go get a job or go to school and get a couple hundred thousand as a bench player. Can’t blame him at all.

A 25 year old who has been around and was a decent backup on a tournament MD team 2 years ago will get a couple hundred thousand. Bank on it.
You work with what you have and that means recruiting players who fit into the pool of money you have available to spend on them and those players generally fall into a lesser talent ranking. It’s no difference in the pros when a team with a bigger budget signs the top ranked free agents , ala the Dodgers , Mets or a few other franchises and other franchises with lesser money available pursue the lesser talented free agents.
You watch how Willard handled the Maryland fiasco and can't help but think he's a selfish, entitled prick. Then you remember he's gotten Jahari Long six years' worth of free education and you realize he's not such a bad guy after all.
I'm of the opinion since playing college BB is now actually a full time paid job and college is actually a minor league development program for pro BB kids should be allowed to play as long as they want and going to class is optional. Age should not come into play at all.
