Jerry on the game

Jenkins is the best scorers we've had since Powell. His ability to make bail out shots is very impressive and can win games. He's a bucket

Tubek has to get playing time. His shot looks nice and I don't think that was a fluke game. He has to be in steady rotation from here on out

I thought Dual did a solid job at running the point tonite. Would be nice to see him be a better finisher but I think his decision making and pace was good

We still have no presence in the paint on either end. That's not going to bode well in the BE. I'm hoping Okorafor can get going. We need him

Good win. Hope we build on it!

Not sure I’m taking Jenkins over rhoden. Willing to be proven wrong over the next few months

Really important win on so many levels for this new group. Jenkins and Coleman emerging as go-to guys is critical.

The upside of the team may rely on how quickly Sha can can get Addae-Wusu and Dual settled in. Dual played a much better overall game last night but these two combined to shoot just 3/8 from the FT line and committed 6 turnovers (6 assists). That's uh, not good. Dual is only a sophomore, but DAW's endgames have been a nightmare this year: the drop against Fordham the two missed FT's last night. He's a 5th year Senior being relied upon. Gotta settle in.

6 turnovers too and they need to tighten up ball handling and sloppy passes.

Dual needs to finish better. He has size and ability to create space when he drives, and he should convert more. Wusu is what he is…plays hard and will make some big shots…forces too much and makes too many mistakes for a 5th year. We need both.

Foul shooting almost bit them in the ass again,

How many turnovers + points off woeful inbound passes by The Hall? I think there 4 and VCU converted something each time.

Wusu doesn’t need to settle in. He needs to find the bench. I wish I recorded the game so I could go back and count how many times he barreled to the hoop and resulted in lost possessions. Easily over 10. He’s a momentum killer

Watch the posted Hallights and see how many of those plays Wusu was involved in. Yes, he makes mistakes and his ft shooting is maddening, but this team needs players who will push the envelope and Wusu is one.

Coleman and Chaunce took big steps into that regard yesterday. Coleman from the jump and Chaunce in the 2nd half.

lol you think they would show his endless broken plays as a highlight? Tonight I’ll record the game and put together a nice slide show

Not making excuses for him but we don’t know what coach is telling him. His drives drive me me crazy to watch as well too much dribbling. The kid works hard and plays with a lot of heart. Been around long enough to know we have to trust coach on this one. By the end of the season we might be looking at a completely different player. Right now do not want the ball in his hands end of the game unless he’s shooting a 3.

Sha is going w dylans leadership. Hes not great in any one statistic. But he brings enough. Just know what u can do and cant do. Who replaces him? Dual? Dual is just bad right now. Idk what is strengths even are. Havent seen him do 1 thing good.

Agree Dual isn’t any better right now but I can’t stand to watch another second of Wusu on offense. This is legitimately accurate, especially the layup attempt

Sha is not going to put an experienced player he can count on, on the bench. Wusu plays tough defense, rebounds and does create some plays. He makes unforced and forced mistakes but he can handle the ball.

A quick summary IMO:
- Jenkins has found his role and is the one consistent offensive threat. Desperately need another 3-4 guys to do that as well.

Work in progress:
- Middleton plays excellent defense and is starting to find his shot but he is not aware when passing and makes too many mistakes with the ball.
- Let’s hope the Coleman we saw yesterday is more of what we see going forward. Being more assertive on offense, but some of the shots are out of control. I’ll take 12 points and 10 rebounds any day.
- Dual looked better but he needs to finish better.
- Toumi just looks like a guy that will be streaky. Great game/mediocre game.
- Wusu is what he is - see above.

Everyone else (Okorafor, Gus, Godswill, Tubek) are rotation guys that will need to play defense and rebound while taking advantage of opportunities on offense when they present themselves.

Yes. I am gong to put those unforced TOs into the Fixable Column. They have been evident all season. Please go away.

DAW has got to be told his role. He is taking on to much responsibility. His is trying to be Powell/Isaiah on too many late possesions. Lots of errors late. Just be Dylan.

Is it fools gold based on the low number of shots, or are we a good 3 pt team. Shooting 40% as a team. Even without Threebek's shots, we still shot them well yesterday. Dual with some drive and kicks?

The late start date screwed up my dvr. Is in two parts...woe is me.
