Jerry on the game

House of Horrors

I remember when Willard has to face the music down there in 2015 about chaos in the locker room after a blowout loss when Gibbs went nuts.

Yeah, the defense has been totally lost. I don’t think it’s simply the jump in opponent although that’s def part of it. The team is not communicating and recovering the same way. There’s no pep. Bad shooting tends to do that to teams too bc it’s demoralizing.

If he ever gave Middleton a half decent run maybe we could add to that list. He’s a sophomore and can shoot it, which is much more than you can say for most of them.
Like many others here have said, play the sophomores and freshman (and Jenkins), the rest are filler.

Middleton is such an athletic and twitchy player he needs to watch the fouls. He's rung up 7 in just 36 minutes the past two games. He also had 5 assists (to 2 turnovers). He makes things happen. Have him play a stretch-4 type and spread the floor with him and Jenkins on opposite sides then you have more room and angles for Coleman or Dual. Start to pass the ball out off drives and make defenders choose to collapse on the driver or defend the pass.

It's not that complicated.
