These are all things that can be fixed with a competant GM or DBO running the operation. This really needs to happen now. Statas Quo will be a nail in the coffin.
He was there but didn’t stay very long.
That is totally idiotic and very disrespectful to the great players who came to see this horrible team. PATHETIC and hard to fathom. I was shocked when I read this. These guys are trying to support the program.
Agreed, Prof Ed. If it was matter of time, get the kids off the court earlier. No one in the arena knew who came back for this event except for those who might have seen Jerry’s article! Imagine some of the appreciative individual cheers those guys would have gotten when their name was called!
And yes, Coach, take a minute to greet them, thank them, and do a photo op.
Would have been great if introduced one by one, and that is what should have been done. But if time was a factor, announce all the names at once while walking in or at least scroll it on screen.
Agree 100%. It’s a shame watching in real time the ineptitude shown by SH. If the admin doesn’t wake up soon men’s BB will be doomed to irrelevancy. Then you’ll really see donations take a nose dive from the already abysmal rate of giving back to the school.
Ironic that Jerry covered this subject dealing on senior nights and athletic halls of fame fading away in the NIL/Portal era. It was great that so many "Hall" players returned and the Crowd was great in giving the ovation. We all thought that there would be introductions but sadly not done. Also sad that Sha did not attend but I guess down 19 on the way to 20th loss compelled him to not take 5 minutes-- or even spend 5 minutes pre/post game.
Maybe someday ( altho doubted) Sha will realize that the SHU Program is not all about him and his McDomalds MVP.
