Looks pretty certain. My understanding is that she's been missing from way too many events. Plus, there is a strong thought that with her as AD, that RU will be hard pressed to find a good replacement for Flood. No decent coach in their right mind would want to work for her from what I was told.
RU is in way over their head as well! JH and RU....perfect together!I have heard similar observations. Apparently she was way over her head and only a pc hire.
Not a rumor at all. I posted something of this nature on the Trove a few weeks ago.I heard a rumor one week ago but didn't believe it to be credible. Perhaps true?

Many close to the situation have told me she's gone soon after the football season concludes.
Barchi had other issues, but it was clear last year she wasn't going to last. Too many disliked her and you could see it in her actions (and inactions). She was nowhere to be seen and never engaged donors. The nonsense about her fund raising success was BS.I guess there is some cleanliness to it, but why do you have to wait until the end of the football season to fire the AD? Also, what took so long? She was clearly out of her league from Day 1 just like Fogelson and Quinlan were here.

There are over a dozen positions she hasn't filled. She knows she is out...they are waiting for new AD to fill those roles.
Cutting her at end of year will coincide with the recruiting investigation closure. Make it nice and neat.
And some by their initials, be it bp or tbp!!!Some of us, 75, are even more exalted, being referred to merely by number.

Firing Pernetti was such a huge blunder. Add to that the way Hermann was hired outside of the process by someone with an agenda....comedy of errors. There are schools (SHU included) that put politics ahead of leadership when making key hires. Why you have to admire a school like Xavier even more, because they actually have a strategy and follow it.
Pernetti was a scapegoat. The RU attorney recommended keeping rice. Bernetti just went along with his recommendation. That's what counsel is for.
If history has shown us anything, it's that this won't end smoothly for RU.
pernetti had a 7-figure reason to stay quiet and take the hitYep. Christie also initially gave Pernetti his support but later left him to twist in the wind.
You have to wonder if the Big Ten is pushing someone what that poor soul did to piss off the Big Ten that they would be recommended for a stint in athletic hell!Firing Pernetti was not the best move but I think they had no choice, given the involvement with the Rice situation, if I remember correctly.
Any word on if the Big Ten has pushed a candidate on RU?
They alway do! It's popcorn time!If history has shown us anything it's that RU will screw this up royally.
Make no mistake that while RU is in the Big 10 they are NOT a Big 10 program! While politically it can't happen, a great answer for RU would be to bring pernetti back. He was good for the school in so many ways. The issue with RU that other schools don't have to deal with is the overly political climate in NJ (and therefore RU). The AD and head coach just doesn't have nearly the clout as they do in other big 10 programs. At least how I see it.
the ru chair should not get another run at hiring an ad, they hired a search firm to settle on hermann. have the big ten dictate the ad search this timeYou have to wonder if the Big Ten is pushing someone what that poor soul did to piss off the Big Ten that they would be recommended for a stint in athletic hell!
RU should rehire their boy Quinlan!
We didn't, that was forced on us by the Big East. We were the only school forced to take the rip hit by having to play them twice each season. No other team was forced to do that!I don't either 75. Just happened to see that in my Twitter feed.
We are in no position to throw stones, and I guess if I grew up in Nj I'd have some interest in what goes on at Rutgers, but they are so irrelevant I never understood why we try to cultivate some sort of rivalry with them.
