They could have really used him in the first half to rebound and block shots. Kid really let his very thin team down.

On another note in this game, nice to see Dwayne Polee II back and playing so well. The former Johnny could be helping bring the Lavin era to an end.

So the Storm has left the building (how's that for a mixed metaphor?). Will be interesting to see what happens with Lavin.

Meanwhile, Providence has their hands full with Dayton after a half. Should be a test of Cooley's acumen to see what changes and fixes he puts in for the second half.

Man did Dayton ever get golden treatment by the NCAA for an 11 seed. Play-in game on their own floor and next round in nearby Pittsburgh.

Even worse -- Columbus.

I cringe whenever that gray-haired ref Eades is working a Hall game. That flagrant on Dunn in the first minute was bogus.

I want all the BE teams to win as many games, except SJU who I was hoping would lose tonight.

It bothers me a bit to see the Johnies go down to a team coached by Steve the I have no idea where they got their SUVs Fisher.

Sounds like it's run loosey-goosey behind the scenes, but I don't know for sure. Lavin's run at SJU reminds me a bit of Orr's here. Some good stuff, but doesn't feel too sturdy.

Obekpa really let his team down. It took everyone out of position. Bad.

Is Lavin out? When will the decision be made?

I am shocked that Lavin has lasted this long. Always thought with the combination of his West Coast background, sketchy recruiting, and eyes on something bigger, his run would be a very short one.

Looks like Jordan is done at SJU, if the below Instagram message is any indicator.

Rysheed Jordan on Instagram: "Must Say It Been A Long Bumpy 2 Years Of College But I Made It Threw I Just Want To Thank All My Supporters...Road Dont End Here."
