I don't mind kids getting a 5 year scholarship IF they remain at the SAME school.Most kids these days take more than 4 years to graduate.

No, the NCAA didn't "fold", it lost (for now).
It also didn't "fold" or some may say didn't compromise to reach a settlement that could have saved the college sports system in multiple litigations, instead allowing the courts to make decisions resulting in catastrophic precedent-setting losses.

The NCAA now finally is trying to settle House from a position of tremendous weakness because, see above ...

Why can't the NCAA make rules? Why are judges just allowed to overrule rules that had been in place since the beginning? Don't play college sports if you don't like it.
