Oddly, no complaints about Biden's son and his multiple embarrassing episodes. This was a juvenile on a field trip, I think he gets more of the benefit of the doubt.

Can you all take a break and show a little respect for the men and women who participated in the D-Day invasion.

Some gave the ultimate sacrifice and others returned home with years of guilt and anguish.

Just take a moment and reflect on the freedom we have.

For a number of years after I retired I was a voluntary ombudsman for the state of New Jersey which entails visiting your assigned nursing home at least weekly and providing any assistance you can to the residents.One of the men I regularly talked to was a machine gun operator on Omaha Beach.I remember him telling me he didn’t know how he survived when so many around him were killed.I constantly marvel at the courage these men showed whenever I see WW2 footage in addition to talking to veterans of that war in the early days of my business career.These men felt it was their duty and didn’t want to be considered heroes.Tom Brokaw was right they were The Greatest Generation.

It is a proud and somber day in American History and every year fewer people are around who experienced it first hand.

It's a day that stands on it's own which is why it was so disappointing that the original poster had to add
"with all the nonsense today I can only hope this is still being taught to our children." It was a woke baiting comment that cheapened the meaning of the day. Of course, he got the responses he was looking for so I'm sure he's pleased with himself.
