Conversely, not having as much free time forces College athletes to be focused and to develop good time management skills.I ended up with one girl playing Div. II soccer and she was a star, but eventually focused on her school work. It's a lot to play and maintain athletic discipline, not to mention all the other distractions.
Unfortunately, I completely agree.
Thought the same thing going into last year after his last team USA run…even being offered ample playing time with an all big east PG vacancy and the other being injured/not 100% last year.
Oher than his ex-wife has anyone ever had a bad thing to say about Griffin?
On the other side of thinking about Griffin…he doesn’t follow us enough to actually get an interview? He follows them enough to ask for an interview to take the job that was given to Sha.
Adrian's ex-wife Audrey is also a Seton Hall graduate and was an All-American in track.Since he didn’t even entertain having his highly ranked kids (girl and boys) come play for Seton Hall, with even an informal visit or even just have them throw you a bone here to get the school name out, I’m not a fan either but then I realized his ex wife raised his kids not him. So not entirely his fault.
But then from interviews with him in the last few years, he doesn’t seem to follow seton hall at all and is very disconnected from our program. Wish he was more involved/connected with our program.
Is there any outreach to our former top players going on? If so, it’s not doing well.
Makes it even more egregious we couldn’t even sniff a visit or top 10 list 🤣Adrian's ex-wife Audrey is also a Seton Hall graduate and was an All-American in track.
Yes, it would have been nice but maybe the children simply didn't want to entertain us and didn't want to waste their or SHU's time.Makes it even more egregious we couldn’t even sniff a visit or top 10 list 🤣
The first part is obvious, kids weren’t interested, but waste our time?Yes, it would have been nice but maybe the children simply didn't want to entertain us and didn't want to waste their or SHU's time.
Aubrey was probably the most disappointing of the three in that regard as Ossining High School has been a pipeline for Tony.
If I were Nova I would not want him playing on the USA team. Too much off season leads to tired legs in the seasonThought the same thing going into last year after his last team USA run…even being offered ample playing time with an all big east PG vacancy and the other being injured/not 100% last year.
Was mostly underwhelmed with his play. We will see this time around.
Based on his first win over Kentucky, It was done before Willard left! Willard even said it.Few if anyone did as everyone knew the job was going to Holloway. It was done before it was done.
None of us knows how involved in the recruiting process AG was. I don't think he was living with the family at that point. The first part is obvious, kids weren’t interested, but waste our time?
It would have been good for recruiting if these top players showed interest with top lists and took visits. Let say you are a low end 4 star visiting with a 5 star player, you may take more notice in the Hall as a viable landing spot.
AG couldn’t even revisit his old stomping grounds and show his kids places he went to when he was in school there.
If they were my kids, I would have at least gone on a single unofficial visit with one of them at least. We offered all their kids.
I think they all come through the high school ranks in the back 6 of the Willard years when we were a perennial tourney teams.
Major SHU target
Would you guys take Yetna and Nadiaye back? (And pick up Hendry while you are at OT. He's a good dude.)
Yetna only if 100% healthy. If he were healthy, he would have been signed long ago. No on the other player.Would you guys take Yetna and Nadiaye back? (And pick up Hendry while you are at OT. He's a good dude.)
I can’t find anything on this kid. Barely a 3 star on ESPN, nothing on rivals / 247. I think some interest from SJU too?
