Kadary OUT

Crazy how a single fall requires weeks of rest…. Is he 22 or 62

That’s not fair. Dude had a fracture in the back last year.

I worked as a PT on an orthopedic floor. The guys in the most pain with back surgery were usually on the younger side.

There is a sub plot. We don’t know what it is. And it may be nothing more than he and Sha see it differently. Sha would be out on the floor with a broken leg. And I’m not endorsing that.

Yet he managed to play 51 minutes days later. Now with more rest all of a sudden he can’t play. Same story as last year…

I see it the same way. There is a deeper meaning when Sha says “I’m only focused on the guys that are here” when asked about Kadary.

A single fall can result in all kinds of injuries. Age is just one variable among many, including previous injuries to the spine, disc problems, etc. In extreme cases,
the spinal cord can be damaged, sometimes resulting in paralysis.

Or maybe Sha is lamenting the Kadary off season demands of not bringing in a viable back up option because of this exact scenario. He wanted the full point guard duties and everyone knew he would have this kind of injury this year.

It’s brutal.

The fact that Kadary plays only 22/23 games a season out of the 30-31 on average really hurts the season. As good as he is, when you can’t play you can’t play.

I don’t think Sha will allow himself to be cornered into a position like this again in the future.

Do you mean the guy we rejected twice? rhymes with nosh

We're a sub .500 team without him.
Easily. We’d be lucky to stay above the Mendoza Line without him. He’s that good. And that’s not a knock on the rest of the team. Every single one of our players feeds off of Kadary. We’re not built to win without him. That’s a fact. Unfortunately Kadary just can’t stay healthy. Hopefully he’s back soon or I’m afraid this season will be lost.

I think it's just Sha's way of saying he can't talk about it. Such info is confidential. The player has to agree to a release of info

At under 20% from 3? His best chance is to play every game possible to maximize opportunities to get that number up. He’s a unique talent but NBA aspirations are nonexistent at that number. Outstanding college player but his game doesn’t align with the NBA today.
Yes I agree. But every college player has that NBA aspiration. When a few experts say he just needs to develop an outside shot in order to get drafted, then that aspiration could be really strong.

NBA and other professional have had 4+ years to look at Richmond. Lots and lots of tape. Including 15 games this season.

The "fact" stated above isn't a fact even if Kadary doesn't play another game this year.

In his first three college seasons he played 28, 32 and 27 games respectively. The only games that he missed were the final six of last year. That's 87 of 93 or 29 games played per season. If you add this season's 19 that brings him to 106 which is a four-year average of 26.5 per season.

But he held himself out against Providence not Seton Hall.
In this case, who is "Seton Hall"? Are the training staff and medical people saying it is OK for him to play, and he is vetoing it; and how do we know?
