ALL heart! ❤️ My current favorite Pirate and thinking back to my all time favorite Pirate. Size doesn’t matter, battling against a formidable physical specimen in Sanogo and The Klingon…how freaking big is that guy! …doesn’t matter. Fights like a junkyard dog for position and any possible rebound he can get his hands on. 💪👊Gotta love this guy. Made me reminisce back to Jerry taking on Mourning and Mutumbo.

Completely different players. Jerry was a thick bodied bull dog who used his strength to body them. KC is more savy in positioning and has agility to work around his opponent.

Jerry couldn’t make that dunk that KC did but he pulled down rebounds that you never thought he had a chance.
I agree...he was a completely different player. He was a banger. KC is just a quick athlete who has a nose for the ball.

I can see you missed the point. I didn’t say they were the same player or look the same. They are kindred spirits as warriors. KC and Jerry are both guys with so much heart, grit, guts, determination….both undersized height wise but battle and out rebound and block shots versus much larger opponents with their will and effort. I think most folks here got that. Wanted to give some props to both of these guys.

I was talking about the wavy they play. Jerry was much more similar in style to Angel IMO.

I always thought of Jerry as a “ junk yard dog “ ,tough as nails who never backed down from players who had more size then he did and no one was going to take a rebound away from him once he got his hands on the ball.

Different players, but the tenacity is a game changer so often. You need guys like this. They inject life into teams, spark rallies, turn games. Ndefo is a relentless player like Walker. Fun to watch guys like that.

KC has led us in each of the past two games because he is also playing better offensively. He's had an o-rating of 100+ in consecutive games, 3 out of 4. He's also 6/8 from the over the past two. His best stretch of the season so far. I expect him to set the tone against Marquette today too. KC is a proud player and he'll remember the game in Milwaukee.

One thing about Jerry also is that he rarely had his shot blocked. He created space underneath and went up quickly.
