Talking about the NYC stay-over thing was some of the pettiest sh*t I’ve ever seen from a coach on the way out. Just say thanks for the memories and leave.
Context to this is they played cuse at barclays the 3rd saturday of december, 4 days before christmas for a noon tip. They likely traveled in early to middle friday. He probably sought another overnight stay and come back later sunday. The person that declined this was the now interim AD. When he let this out he knew the main AD was out the door and he was close behind.

Because there is nothing all that informed about his views. He’s a talking head. I don’t find any of them worth listening to. He’s never been the man in the arena.
I know people from Westfield who were friends with the willards and speak very highly of them.
I know plenty of guys who would leave their job for a better job that paid more money and had more prestige and an easier path to success the second it was offered. I dont call them aholes.
Not letting the most prominent team at the state's flagship university stay another night in NY due to budget concerns is awful petty too.
It's pretty clear that Willard did not believe in Maryland's commitment to the program. From his perspective that was two schools in a row. He did them a favor by outing them. I don't really like how he did it, but in this NIL environment its kill or be killed. He didn't create the environment but he has to make his living in it. I don't blame him a bit. Sounds like Maryland is waking up to the reality now and at the same time Willard took care of Willard in his Willard way.
