Coach K was definitely that kid who used to spit in his hand before the handshake line.
Truer words were never spoken. I have heard enough first-hand accounts of his disgusting behavior. He is a miserable, nasty, poor excuse for a human being. That ESPN paints him as a gracious sportsman is embarrassing.
You cannot deny that the guy has built a tremendous program at Duke. But he is a whiny little bitch when everything does not go his way.
It was so awesome to watch that game last night. I totally hate Puke basketball, and cannot wish it enough ill (conceptually speaking of course).
But guys...look at his will to win! He just cares so much about winning, even now, after all of his success! He never quits! A true competitor! ::barf::
I'm no Coach K fan, believe me... But I will say he made a gracious gesture to our family a handful of years ago. There is a photo of my father, who played at the Hall, in the 100 years of Seton Hall Hoops book dribbling past Coach K while he was playing Army. The picture is not very flattering to Coach K in many ways (those who have seen it know what I mean), but when my sister sent a blown up copy to Durham in the hopes that he would sign it, he graciously signed it for my Dad and sent it back.
Again, I am NO FAN of Coach K the coach and love to see him whine/lose (almost as much as I enjoy seeing Boeheim do it)...but he does have some shreds of decency in there too...

Yadda. Yadda. If I had a five-star recruit son (not even close), Duke would be one of the places I would want him to go.
K wields a lot of power and refs seem to fear him. When he spoke to the refs before he went into the locker room at the championship game, I knew things were about to change for Wisconsin. 12 fouls, I think, called on the Badgers as soon as the second half began. I admired how he effected the outcome of the game.
