HOOP SCOOP’S Final Ranking of the Top 100 Players Nationally in the Class of 2015

1. Ben Simmons 6'9 2015 PF Montverde (Academy) FL

LSU

Consistency, efficiency, versatility, & a very high skill level make it almost impossible not to rank this silky smooth athletic combo forward #1 in the Class of 2015.

2. Cheick Diallo 6'9 2015 C Centereach (Our Savior New American) NY

Kansas

His offensive skills still need some find tuning, but nobody in the class runs the court, rebounds, & blocks shots better than his high energy athletic big man.

3. Jaylen Brown 6'7 2015 WF Marietta (Wheeler) GA

California

Brown is arguably the best athlete in the class & nobody is better at attacking the rim & providing high film-like dunks. Consistency on his jump shot is the only question mark.

4. Allonzo Trier 6'4 2015 2G Henderson (Findlay Prep) NV

Arizona

Nobody in the class has a better motor & puts up better numbers than this strong, physical, athletic, & very skilled 2-guard who was named MVP in the Jordan Brand Classic.

5. Malik Newman 6'3 2015 2G Jackson (Callaway) MS

Mississippi State

Newman is second to none when it comes to creating his own shot & putting up prolific numbers. However, his consistency & shot selection still need to improve.

6. Ivan Rabb 6'11 2015 PF Oakland (Bishop O'Dowd) CA

California

This long athletic shot blocking big man is excellent at both ends of the court with his skills, post-up moves, quickness around the basket, & ability to rebound & defend.

7. Isaiah Briscoe 6'3 2015 PG Roselle (Catholic) NJ

Kentucky

Briscoe is a strong physical athletic 2-guard with excellent skills, great moves, & a knack for getting into line & completing the 3-point play the old-fashioned way.

8. Dwayne Bacon 6'6 2015 WF Mouth of Wilson (Oak Hill) VA

Florida State

Nobody in the senior class enhanced the value of his stock more than this athletic wing forward who attacks the rim with a vengeance & fills it up with his long range shooting.

9. Skal Labissiere 6'10 2015 C Memphis (Lausanne Collegiate) TN

Kentucky

This long fluid agile athletic multi-dimensional big man will need to get bigger and stronger, but is now the flavor of the day after a strong showing in the NIKE Hoop Summit.

10. Antonio Blakeney 6'4 2015 2G Orlando (Oak Ridge) FL

LSU

He is a streaky outside shooter, but has a great mid-range game, is explosive to the basket, can score in bunches, has a tremendous wing span, & is an excellent defender.

11. Chase Jeter 6'10 2015 PF Las Vegas (Bishop Gorman) NV

Duke

His game is more finesse than power, but it's hard not to like his quickness around the basket, which allows him to be a very effective scorer, rebounder, & defender.

12. Tyler Dorsey 6'4 2015 2G Pasadena (Maranatha) CA

Oregon

He doesn't get the respect that he deserves & he's a 2-guard all the way, but his great moves off the dribble & explosive first step help make him a prolific scorer.

13. Caleb Swanigan 6'8 2015 C Ft. Wayne (Homewood) IN

Purdue

Zach Randolph comparisons are in order, as this 6'8 beast is capable of dominating at both ends of the court & is able to get up & down the court in surprising fashion.

14. Stephen Zimmerman 7'0 2015 C Las Vegas (Bishop Gorman) NV

UNLV

Zimmerman is great at taking advantage of his skills, agility, & ability run the court, but he doesn't like contact & is not nearly as effective in a half court setting.

15. Derryck Thornton 6'1 2015 PG Henderson (Findlay Prep) NV

Duke

He's always had a knack for making those around him better, the ability to defend, & knows how to get to the rim, but now he's reclassified up a year & will be the heir apparent to Tyus Jones.

16. Dedric Lawson 6'8 2015 PF Memphis (Hamilton) TN

Memphis

This long athletic 4-man is a smooth operator around the basket with his skills, finesse, & knack for being able to both score & rebound.

17. Malik Beasley 6'4 2015 2G Alpharetta (St. Francis) GA

Florida State

Beasley is a world-class athlete & his ability to slash to the basket, score from mid-range, & accuracy on his long range jump shot make him a prolific scorer.

18. Elijah Thomas 6'9 2015 C Lancaster (H.S.) TX

Texas A&M

This 6'9 physical specimen is a force to be reckoned with inside with his quick hands & feet, ability to finish in the post, & take no prisoners approach on the boards.

19. Jalen Brunson 6'1 2015 PG Lincolnshire (Stevenson) IL

Villanova

Nobody played better or did more to help his team last past summer, as he did a good job both running the show & carrying the load when it was necessary to light up a scoreboard.

20. Brandon Ingram 6'8 2015 WF Kinston (H.S.) NC

Duke

He has excellent ball handling skills & he can be deadly off the dribble, but we've also seen him disappear in an every man for himself camp-like setting.

21. Thomas Bryant 6'10 2015 PF Huntington (Prep) WV

Indiana

Bryant is a strong physical post player with the length, athleticism, & high skill level necessary to be exactly what the doctored ordered for Tom Crean at Indiana University.

22. K.J. Lawson 6'7 2015 WF Memphis (Hamilton) TN

Memphis

It's almost too close to call between Dedric & K.J, but K.J. has better ball handling & passing skills, shoots the ball better, & is better out on the perimeter than his brother.

23. Diamond Stone 6'10 2015 C Whitefish Bay (Dominican) WI

Maryland

Stone the tools, power, & athleticism necessary for stardom. However, he lacks consistency, his motor is a question, & he was missing action at times last summer.

24. Henry Ellenson 6'10 2015 PF Rice Lake (H.S.) WI

Marquette

This face-up 4-man's forte is knocking down threes, but what makes him so intriguing is his toughness around the basket & ability to dominate on the boards.

25. Derrick Jones 6'6 2015 WF Radnor (Archbishop Carroll) PA

UNLV

Transition is his game & this athletic 3-man is great at slashing to the basket. However, he needs to improve his outside shot & develop more of a shooter's mentality.
