I don’t know what was worse, our horrible display or the incompetent broadcast. Andy Katz was probably the worst I have ever heard on a tv game. Ten wins will be an upset.
Katz was beyond terrible…but then again m he matched the competition…but Sha disrespecting Gary on the post game was worse.I don’t know what was worse, our horrible display or the incompetent broadcast. Andy Katz was probably the worst I have ever heard on a tv game. Ten wins will be an upset.
Agree, this entire game was a disgrace to the seton hall program. From the result, to the location, the start time, the “broadcast”. Everything screams amateur hour and D3I don’t know what was worse, our horrible display or the incompetent broadcast. Andy Katz was probably the worst I have ever heard on a tv game. How did he dis him? I was not listening.Katz was beyond terrible…but then again m he matched the competition…but Sha disrespecting Gary on the post game was worse.
I don’t like that at all
To be clear…this is NOT what I said.Sha is becoming g very unlikable. Bad coach
Sha is becoming g very unlikable. Bad coach
Sha spent a ton of money on bad players. Having more money isn’t the answer here. This is his 3rd season and 3rd roster that hasn’t been properly constructed. The focus of money should be on a GM (yes I know it’s coming from seperate places)To be clear…this is NOT what I said.
But I did say he’s got to be better than dissing a “pro” like Gary.
Let’s face it, us having someone like Gary doing our games adds credibility to our program…something we desperately need.
When he leaves I do not look forward to his replacement…especially given our future prospects in this NIl world.
The school needs to find a way to make a statement that they will fund at least $3 to $5 million in NIL out of their budget for all sports, with at least 3 million of that dedicated to men’s basketball.
They need to tell their donors if they do not like NIL, please donate to operating expenses from which we will be redirecting funds.
And they need to do this now. Not after every other damn high-level division one school does it… Which is our usual modus operandi!
No it’s Shaheen paying fringe players he think he can develop into his type of player. He says team will be better as the season goes on, and very well may be the case. But they cannot keep doing this year after year of starting off slow because you don’t have the horses. It’s great they may get better but the season is over now. That but also let’s take a look. Year 1: Jackson was our backup 5… year 2. No bench or backup pg. he can’t manage a roster constructionNo it’s Shaheen paying fringe players he think he can develop into his type of player. It’s not a line of world beaters they’ve lost too. The roster looks less talented than the three teams they played. How many players did we miss out on due to not having the money
He basically said Gary asked a stupid question. How did he dis him? I was not listening.
Not good. Thanks for explaining. I am a huge fan of Gary Cohen and wanted to hear the details. He basically said Gary asked a stupid question.
Not egregious…if coming from say Bill Belichek to a Pats online nobody writer…but for Seton Hall where Gary is The Name… I just didn’t like it.
Maybe I’m too sensitive to it, especially given the season we’re appear to be embarking on…but I think big picture, the coach of a Seton Hall team needs to nurture and enhance the coverage of someone like Gary Cohen…and not ever chance tarnishing it…or worse…ending it.
Well, let’s start with Richmond and Davis. How many players did we miss out on due to not having the money

A Seton Hall tradition. We find reasons to not like our coaches. First Orr (two NCAAs), then Willard. (5 NCAAS, BET Championship, co- BE Regular Season Champion), now Holloway (Elite 8, NIT Championship). SMH.Sha is becoming g very unlikable. Bad coach
Actually I listened the other night while I watched because the tv crew was abominable.I’ve always been a fan of Gary but do we honestly think anyone follows or supports our program solely because he is our play by play announcer. The last time I listened to a game on the radio Warner Fucell was broadcasting.
First off, I don't think Sha cares. This is an obligation to him. While I don't doubt it's simply an obligation to many coaches, at least Willard developed a rapport with Gary and to a lesser extent Dave.He basically said Gary asked a stupid question.

I think Gary does this because he enjoys it -- I doubt he needs the money and this gig probably pays pocket change relatively speaking.
His career is also winding down and he may only have a couple of years of having a side job left in him. I'd suspect, if he felt disrespected, he'd cash it in but being forced to watch this nearly unwatchable team might also push him to the door sooner than later.
I'd agree with the idea hardly anybody is listening to Seton Hall basketball for Gary Cohen. The games aren't on linear radio anymore and since every game is on TV, most are likely only listening if they can't view the game (like Wednesday night) or in the car trying to get to the game.
The audio is always available on the athletic department website under the PSN tab.Link to post game?
The good news is Gary is a pro and won’t take that personally. He basically said Gary asked a stupid question.
