Expectations may have been a little too high which has led myself and others to be extremely disappointed in our play through 6 games. But there are some positives:

- Even though our D has been terrible at times, it has also shown flashes of being very good. We started off playing well tonight and have been excellent in the 2nd half allowing 21 and 27 pts the last 2 night. I said Ish had to start after URI and the move paid off. He brought great energy which is contagious and takes pressure off everyone else. His line doesn't show his true value but was good, 4 pts - 8 rebs - 4 blocks and numerous deflections

- Desi bounced back off a brutal effort against URI and although having a rough shooting night from 3 and FT, consistently attacked the paint and exposed his strength advantage. Was 11 for 15 on his 2 point shots

- The bench gave solid minutes tonight. Cale plays good D for a freshman but they have to get him more involved on offense. Sandro and Gordon are improving on both sides. Sandro is altering and blocking shots and although he doesn't get many touches he hit his only shot tonight (3-pointer) and made a nice pass for a Powell 3 vs URI. Gordon played solid D and had 4 assists in 11 minutes....he may get more minutes.

- like Willard has said, it seems like Powell is close to bursting out. We just have to give him good touches and free him up a little and he can do the rest. He's averaging 14 ppg and shooting 40% from 3 and is capable of much more. He may be the best passer among the starters.

- we are still ranked 24th in KenPom and have 2 opportunities this week for a top 25 win
