We are in a huge quandary here. Lyons is paid a very substantial sum to deal with the many difficult issues that may arise within an athletic department. Our basketball program faces a tremendous crossroad. We have a poor coach who lacks many of the fundamental skills which are a prerequisite for the position. He is severely lacking in the mental acuity necessary and his overall instability leads him to believe that he may not want to be here. As all of this is occurring, our athletic director remains silent and is seemingly incapable of doing anything to curtail this nightmare. Enough with the excuses of having his hands tied. Enough of the calls for patience. The time for some type of action and prudent leadership has come. This guy is being paid a fortune to deal with this type of problem. It is about time that we see some positive forward movement within our athletic department.
