Matchups for Big East-Big Ten Challenge taking shape

Matchups for the first ever Big East-Big Ten Challenge, aka the "Gavitt Games," are taking shape.

Villanova will host Nebraska, St. John's will face Rutgers at Madison Square Garden, Illinois will travel to Providence, and Creighton will take on Indiana at Assembly Hall as part of the inaugural event, sources told CBSSports.com.

Dates and times for the four games have yet to be determined.

An official announcement, which will include the event's entire schedule, is expected to be released this week.
