Meet our 2024 President

There’s a reason why his poll numbers keep rising. Anyone can put together a flashy commercial with talking points, but if you have seen him speak, and b interviewed, he is incredibly articulate and can think on his feet.

Now he has earned his way onto the debate stage, and I am really curious to see how he does in that forum. Could be make or break time for him. Based on what I’ve seen, though, I wouldn’t necessarily bet against him.

He will be strong in the debates. He is quite articulate and has positions that will resonate.

I particularly like that he does virtually no attack politics and focuses on a vision, core values, and what he will do.

He has a few hurdles to overcome but I would not rule him out.

I would not be spiking the football just yet.

He has the it factor, a Republican Obama. Been saying for months someone needs to embrace Trumps policies but deliver them in a human way. Not in your face look at me. Why people running for office don’t realize they cannot bash Trump and win makes no sense. Embrace Trump, bring energy and respect to the office of the President and be able to motivate people by offering common goals. Not spiking the football just yet but he’s a very likable guy. Has stage presence and energy level just last night at Lincoln dinner speeches was pronounced when Trump had to follow him. By embracing Trump he leaves him defenseless. Why no one has seen this strategy is beyond me. The left is doing their job with a relentless pursue of Trump. He’s clearly wearing out and showing his age standing next to Vivek. If nominated he will win in a landslide. I’m going on record early.

The primaries are all about survive and advance. Much like the NCAA tournament. He is going to get attacked by the competition and the MSM. I saw an interview with him on Cuomo the other night and Chris really tried to pin him down, and Vivek made him look like an idiot. That’s not a high bar, but it’s something.

I cannot wait, instead of insulting them he will completely outsmart them. The guy is brilliant but he will be tested. He’s an outsider, he’s young and Washington elite are going to work hard to eliminate the threats he will present. He’s on a completely different level than any of our current elected officials. I’ve been following him and Desantis, RD just doesn’t have what’s necessary in todays world to get elected. Young people, women, minorities and independents will be firmly in his corner.

I’m curious as well. Not to get too far ahead, but IF Trump gets the nomination, could the No Labels party draft him as a third party candidate? Given the lousy approval ratings of Trump / Biden rematch….

Saw an interview with Sununu this week and he feels strongly neither Trump nor Biden will be on the Presidential ballot. He said if Trump is ahead, the rest of the candidates are going to consolidate behind the strongest number two prior to Super Tuesday. The way DeSantis is dropping that could be Vivek.

I agree with Sununu and have been saying this for some time now to people close to me. I'd be willing to bet Trump and Biden will not be the nominees, and I'd probably get good odds.

I'm curious to see what derogatory name Trump comes up with to battle with Vivek

Whatever it is, I don't see Vivek countering and taking the bait to go back and forth with him on that one.

I want any R candidate over Trump. But with this guy remember the mainstream media hasn’t put him in the cross-hairs. And that’s coming if he gains steam. They’ve been concerned with DeSantis for several years because of his geography, background and COVID praise. If this guy gets any stream the mainstream will start working with the DNC to figure out the approach.

He will stroke his ego and be his friend. He already has said he would pardon Trump if he gets elected. He believes we owe Trump for exposing the swamp creatures. He thinks Trump is being targeted unjustly on several of the indictments he read. He did say he hasn’t read them all.
Common sense should tell most candidates to respect what Trump has done, you need his based to vote for you. The guy got over 70 million votes. Who would have thought Joe Biden would be histories most popular President.

No one is beating Trump. His supporters don’t even care about indictments which I thought was the only way he could get derailed. Add up all the support for all the other contenders and they don’t beat Trump.

And if you don’t have the guts to call out Trump for what he is, well then you are nothing g but a weak politician beholden to the MAGA world. Vivek is another fraud. Trump had bad judgment in jan 6. That’s his latest stance. Lol. Laughable. Is that what you call it??

I would bet Trump does not get the nomination, you can name the odds. Have you listen to anything Vivek has been saying? Why do you think he’s a fraud.

When you do not have a valid argument, you call people names and try to imply that you are a fool if you don't agree.

I think the country has Biden/Trump fatigue. Ramaswamy appears to recognize that and will stay out of that fray. Let others battle it out in the sewer of hatred and the catch phrases of Maga, Racists, XYZphobes, Laptops, Grandchildren, and on and on. In a sense, Vivek is a quasi third party candidate and will be appealing to independents and centrists who may find him a path to shed Biden and Trump.

Ramaswamy biggest weakness IMO is his lack of foreign policy experience. Add in a lack of military experience and yes, his age. His age will help with the sub 40ish voter but could be tough for older voters. When you juxtapose against McConnel, Pelosi, Feinstein, Sanders et al it is a stark difference.

Regarding his "funny last name" (his words), once you hear him speak, that melts away.

Someone posted the "It" factor and agree that he is showing that.

It think he will stay the course on reinforcing with his Vison which is manifested in his campaign logo. Core Values is another V phrase he uses.

All that being said, I don't see him winning at the moment. I think he will continue to rise but he has a long way to go. Either way, he is breath fresh air.

Fraud is a bit harsh. From my view he is a very gifted speaker but still acting as a politician would act.

He is careful not to upset Trump supporters and that’s definitely the right “political” move so I’m not gonna to know him for that. What do you want in your candidate, a straight shooter or a gifted speaker who can win? Something to be said for the latter there.

His recent rise in the polls will start to put a target on his back from the rest of the field. It seems like he is pulling some of the people from Desantis and that’s really where Nikki Haley needs to make a dent to have a chance so I expect she should be the one to start to target Vivek’s inexperience especially with foreign policy where she should flourish.

That said, as long as Trump is still in the race, we’re really just looking at who will take 2nd. Trumps base has not moved at all. He still crushes the field.

Agreed. "Fraud" for that? Come on. If he's a fraud for playing coy on Trump, every single politician is a "fraud" of some kind for toeing the line in a similar circumstance. All you would need to do is some digging.

Unfortunately, and ultimately, I think you are right about Trump. I keep hoping I'm proven wrong, but I just don't see it.

Calling him a “fraud” is plain silly. Maybe listen to him actually speak about the indictments rather than reading the MSM talking points.

Maybe 40% of the base is polling for Trump, but 60% of Republicans aren’t. And that 60% is tired or turned off by his antics. There will be a quick coalesce to one other candidate early on. Let the first few primaries determine who that is. I’ll go with Sununu on this one.

He condemned the act immediately

His comment about bad judgement was in context to the discussion about the indictment.

Sadly the gifted speaker always wins out, most people will not put time into there selection. Very difficult in 2023 anyway to get reliable sources of information. MSM capivated audiences for several years on Russia collusion, hour after hour, day after day for years. Even people who are not very smart are starting to understand nothing ever happens in Washington DC. That being said I think Vivek is not only a gifted speaker but also a straight shooter. The American people are longing for someone who will hold people accountable on both sides. A gifted speaker with the right intentions would go a long way to uniting the country. Right now I think that’s the biggest threat to our democracy. It’s a long shot but hoping for someone to bring some civility back. I believe we need to focus on things everyone can agree upon or at least the majority. I would like to start with the border, but also how about freeing the modern day slaves. All the folks who came here illegally working and raising families in the shadows. Too late now to send people back, time to make them citizens and part of our country. We opened the borders and let people in with no path to citizenship? That’s modern day slavery. Is that what we want? Hoping someone with a brain and a heart might fix that. The guy in office now is old enough to know something about slavery but has no plans to free the slaves. Sorry for ranting.

Vivek is another fraud.
Christie is the real fraud. His website offers nothing. No bio, no stance on the issues, just a donate button. His campaign is nothing more than a 6-year-old’s revenge tantrum.

Vivek is very good on the issues, a great guy, but his lack of any government experience would make it tough to vote for him.

Hoping that Sununu is right.... that neither Biden nor Trump will be the nominees. As much as I like Trump's policies, his self destructive ego has been his downfall.

Don't think it will be Vivek and I don't see him making a third party run. If he is not the candidate, looking at his policies and concerns, I think he will work hard for the Republican candidate. He is an articulate spokesman and unabashedly conservative.

Exhibit 2

According to Vivek, Censorship caused Jan 6 now. Yes right after Jan 6 he said the right thing. But he has back peddled just like so many other sos called leaders. Calling what Trump did with keeping secret documents a "process crime" and puts out a pledge to pardon Trump. This is not leadership. This is appealing to Trump's base and not standing up for what is right.

Did you even read the entire article or watch the piece or are your "Exhibits" going to pull out selective information?

I know you are a dyed in the wool Democrat, but this is pretty lame.

Yet a ton of Republicans voted for Obama the first time as he won in a landslide.

Last time I checked, everyone votes in a presidential election and Obama won the support of many GOP voters.
