MU Game Thread

bugs the hell out of me how the announcers (these and previous ones) put everything on the players - show coach staring blankly and it's "one of those days for days for Kevin Willard" - immature kids failing to close out games - things have been tough for him - wow, life is so unfair for this poor put upon victim - if only there were some way he could do something about it but, no, the fates have dealt him these players who just aren't playing the right way and making him suffer

We are seriously losing by 19 to a 4-14 team on a neutral floor. Process that. We are the worst team in the league, without a doubt, records be damned.

There is some good news.... At least when I make my annual trek to the tourney tomorrow afternoon,i won't have to see us get embarrassed by Nova.

I got the runs watching this team tonight, does that count?

Not hammering, just making an observation.
I get it, just hoping we stay channeled on the root cause, which is this coach, not trying to ding you, just thinking, let the kid go, this is the last game for him and he is a loyal Pirate.

I would think an NIT berth is out after this performance.

Give me Wojo any day of the week and twice on Sunday...

Who is having a bigger meltdown Willard or Flnj?

I don't have to watch our "esteemed poster", but I do watch the Pirates. I really doubt I can support this team any longer. Going to almost every game since 1985 when I was a freshman, I have never felt worse.

This team could of done real damage this year with a coach. I am trying to process how this guy is a "lock" to be back.

I can't ever remember being blown out like this in an opening game in the big east tournament and this is year 5!!!!!

How can anyone think we will be better next year? Really? Does anyone base this on any facts?
Beyond me...I don't see it... Not even remotely possible...

We'd be very fortunate (and quite good) if we had a team full of players of Brandon's caliber

These players have no interest in playing for this coach.

Gibbs and the guards have made some nice entry passes into the paint. That's all I got.

WOW. That inside the huddle was the worst one yet, and do you see how the players completely and I mean completely tuned him out? They couldn't even bother to pretend to listen to him.

"Coach Willard more a cheerleader, encouraging his guys tonight."

And that quote was meant to be a COMPLIMENT.

Wojo laying into HIS team for playing lax with a 20+ point lead.

Like night and day...

It's not actually Kevin's fault. Remember, the sideline reporter asked him how he can get Gibbs going in the second half and Willard said, "You tell me." Well, Gibbs hasn't gotten going - clearly, she didn't tell him.

After the cameras went off:

"No really, sweetie, please tell me."

Put the bench in... Give let them experience the tournament.
They'll have their chance next year. Well not Manga, but who cares about him, right, Kevin?
