expected a nova win but a few things: like we have seen in the past, free throw shooting absurdly bad, for the most part nova shot poorly from 3 but they had many chances and a lot of clean looks, defensively shu still perplexes me so many nova 2nd chance efforts and points off of watching the ball bound of rim and reaching with arms versus finding someone to box out and grab the ball (all 5 players), shu is not a thriving 3 point shooting team (great veer got 2 weak side kicks and nailed them when you are a college shooter you should make 7 out of 10), angel delgado completely lost

Need to beat creighton and take one out of providence nova and Xavier. Problem is I at best see us going 2 and 2 but just as likely see us going 0 and 4

Must win vs. Creighton on Saturday. If we lose I have a terrible feeling on how I think the rest of the season is going to go.

Creighton will be no push over. We were fortunate to beat them twice and could have easily lost both times to them last season. They are a very good offensive team but play absolutely no defense at all. Just get it done Saturday don't care if we win by 1 or 21.

Must win at Creighton is right. Move one from Villanova and take care of business at home.

Three of the weaknesses that have plagued this team the last three years and this season as well have not been addressed. They are:
1. Poor perimeter defense,
2. Poor foul shooting,
3. Failure to box out .

And until we correct them, we'll lose games we have a legitimate chance to win.

Can't agree on this one.

Entire schedule

3PT defense

31.5% 68th in the country
Average for D1 teams 34.4%

In conference

26.5% 2nd in conference
Average for Big East teams 34.4%

Plus our 3 guards do an excellent job on preventing guard penetration. Especially Gordon and Carrington.

I disagree also. Our interior defense is poor but our perimeter defense isn't bad.

I agree, I like the perimeter D. I think we challenge shots and last night battled especially hard. At one point last year I think we had held opponets to lowest 3pt% in country, although I could be wrong.

Also, on the point of boxing out. We struggled last night. But on season we are +3.9. Yes it is against some weaker competition, but I don't see this as being as alarming as the missed free throws
