The 3 week BUDS orientation is done solely to weed out. The remainder of Seal training lasts about 1 year. It is in that training that skills are taught and tested.

Taking drugs during the training is IMO, fool hardy. I knew a guy who took speed during a 3 day no sleep exercise. Dumb.
