Again, Fox has deals already in place to carry content for the Big 12 and Big 10. Prelude to a Big East deal?
I think it bodes well for a FOX/BE media deal. From what I read, BE and Big12 are already committed to this event. Beginning of the end for the NIT.
I like the idea that corporate sponsors would be encouraged to do NIL deals with the players from these three leagues. The extra incentive may help when recruiting players.

The biggest problem with the NIT, IMO, is that the best teams in it often aren't motivated as they're more disappointed about not being in the NCAA's than anything else. Playing for a night chunk of cash may change that.

Well DePaul would have made this last year so there's that.
This is an incredibly stupid idea. Like the USFL.

It's also an admission that almost anything is better than what FS1 is airing if it's not showing CFB, CBB, NASCAR or soccer.
This tournament will draw way more viewers than the NIT final in 2023 which featured North Texas State vs UAB.
