There are greater issues than energy and food cost in NJ. I suppose with the proper GOP candidate Trump would endorse. However, there are also state legislature seats to be won/lost

Sherrill is a two-faced witch. Tried to pretend she was moderate to get elected and has been nothing but a left-wing Democrat in Congress.

NJ GOP needs to nominate a good candidate. They can win this race.
Didn’t she tweet some nonsense on January 6 about things she witnessed that never were corroborated?

From everyone I know in NJ that say these are two of the biggest issues they face- food prices are up 30%+ in the last 4 years under Dems. Also, average retail price of electricity is up nearly 40% from Jan’21

But sure those aren’t huge issues for the everyday people of New Jersey.

No, it was corroborated. Loudermilk gave tours to people who were taking pictures of stairways and hallways the day before.

Can you name a Dem you would like to see?
Fulop would be the only Dem I’d vote for. Although he’s got a track record of being very influenced by lobby $, The revolution of Jersey city from 2013 when he started as mayor of JC until now is impressive.

Fulop should beat these two lightweights if Dems have any sense.

I've liked what I have seen from Fulop, and I get that you don't like Dems but Gottheimer and Sherrill are both well polished politicians with fairly strong backgrounds. Both will be very hard to beat in a primary for Fulop.

Mikie groomed by Dems for higher office.Given a 7 month stint as federal prosecutor so she could have this on her resume.I don See Josh as real competitor I think Fulop her biggest rival.

The next 12 months are going to be wild in states held by democratic governors, especially the ones vowing to fight mass deportations. If Homan follows through mass deportation will happen from the states with republican governors, while democratic governors fight it. Many illegal immigrants I would suspect will be heading to states with democratic governors. If those states get overloaded with illegal immigrants who can't vote, will the voters say enough and elect a republican governor.

Will be an interesting race. On the Republican side there is a lack of talent, so it will most likely be Jack.

He ran a good race in 2021, but the circumstances were different. It was an under the radar race and he was able to avoid scrutiny. Given how close NJ was this year, I would anticipate this race will get a lot of money and national media attention. Dems will be hungry to make a statement that NJ is off the table in 2026/28.

I am not sure Jack will be able to handle it. He will have to be skillful in the dance between embracing Trump and showing he is Independent enough. He will need both the Trump voters to come out, hold onto some of his gains with minorities, while also not alienating wealthy educated whites in Morris, Somerset, Bergen etc. Is Jack good enough of a politician to pull it off?

She got her orders or was chosen at the WEF meeting she attended.

Saw Sherrill CNN a day or two after the Trump assassination attempt where she essentially blamed Trump and called his rhetoric divisive while defending the “threat to Democracy” rhetoric. Orwellian is literally the word that went through my mind.

Yep, she is the chosen candidate for this race by the elite. There's a reason she was invited to Davos.

She was part of a delegation of about a dozen members of congress including a couple republicans.

She’s a politician who has higher aspersions. She’s not really unique in that sense. She’s not a “chosen” candidate. She has been angling to run for governor for years.

Speaking at Davos was just an opportunity for her to build her brand. She was on the same panel with (among others) Sinema, Salazar and Brian Kemp and even criticized Pelosi for not reaching across the aisle at all as speaker.

No one here has really given a reason why they don’t like her other than the fact that she is a politician trying to be a politician.
