25. Jets 6-10 (25)

Even Jermaine Johnson’s pick-six couldn’t mask a stinker from the Jets’ much-hyped defense against their former teammate Flacco. The Browns scored 34 in the first half. Breece Hall totaled 126 yards and a touchdown from scrimmage, and Garrett Wilson went over 1,000 receiving yards for the season — no easy task with a fourth quarterback (Trevor Siemien) now at the helm.

27. Giants 5-11 (27)

Mason Crosby’s 54-yard field goal fell short — and so did the Giants’ upset bid in a loss to the Rams. Tyrod Taylor passed for 319 yards — and would’ve had more if not for penalties — but missed an easy throw on a would-be go-ahead two-point conversion late in the game. Dane Belton broke out with two interceptions and a fumble recovery.

Yet another miserable football season for the locals. It looks like the Jets will just roll it back and rely on Rodgers. Not sure what happened to their defense but it was real good when the players were engaged.

The Giants have major decisions to make at QB, OL, and DE. But good the team continued to play hard and showed life for a leadership group only in Year 2.

Another decision for the Giants is losing/terminating Wink. His game plan yesterday was impressive.

The Wink is interesting. Lots of smoke there. He’s popular with the players, they play hard for him, the defense was put in so many bad spots. They were a bit up and down this year and need help there too, especially on the edge where they have nothing other than Thibodeaux. But they did enough to win a lot of these games where even a league-average offense would’ve won walking away. (Jets, Bills, Rams, etc.). I’m hoping Wink stays.
