Fresh off our W over Conn on Saturday and as a guy that loves college sports and all things Setonia, I wrote a piece about the concept of "lifetime scholarships" in college sports. Yes NIL and portal are here to stay but as a branding pro, if feels like many players have short term "take the money and run" thinking with their brands. The notion of building a brand at one school allows for connections and engagements that can be monetized down the road - well after the playing career is done - think Jerry Walker.
