NIT not organized shameful

This has to do with a cali school that was in both nit and cbi as of last night

If UC Riverside accepted both an NIT and CBI invitation, they are not without blame here. The NCAA would never do this but they ought to have South Alabama play UC Riverside in a "play-in" game for the right to then meet Santa Clara the next night. I highly doubt this would negatively impact the "sanctity" of the NIT Tournament. Who cares? What a disgrace to rescind an invitation, especially to a school who was 21-11, tied for first in their conference, and to whom post-season play likely meant something.

Nice to see that the tournament we won last season is fighting about whether powerhouses UC Riverside or South Alabama should be in the field.

South Alabama is handling it better than I would. They have every right to be upset.

It’s not dead for mid majors. The NIT is dead to high majors but still a highly meaningful tournament for teams like south Alabama
